Overview

The REM wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed by Alex & Manel Lluscà with a clean and well-proportioned profile. Its steel body in an antique gold finish and beige-toned shade create a discreet yet characterful combination that fits well in both a bedroom and a hallway. The collection is designed for those looking for a lamp with visual presence without being overwhelming.

Thanks to its integrated LED reader, the wall light serves two functions at once: it illuminates the general ambience of the space and provides directed light for reading or working. This makes it especially useful in rooms where lighting flexibility matters.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in interior lighting design, recognised for collections that balance functionality and aesthetics. The REM wall light is part of that approach: an object that does not go unnoticed, but that does not compete with the rest of the interior either.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the chosen wall can support the weight of the product without any issues. The wiring should be concealed or gathered according to the wall finish. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional, especially if it involves a masonry wall with embedded wiring. Verify that your installation voltage is compatible with the range indicated in the specifications before connecting the lamp.

To clean the steel body, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the antique gold finish. The beige shade can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not handle the bulb while the lamp is on or immediately after turning it off. Remember that the E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Design and use

The REM wall light combines a minimalist steel base with an antique gold finish that adds warmth without being excessive. The beige-toned shade softens the light and helps create a calm atmosphere. This combination of materials and colours makes the lamp integrate well into contemporary interiors, but also into spaces with more classic elements or vintage touches.

In the bedroom, the wall light works especially well installed on either side of the bed. The LED reader function allows the light to be adjusted for reading without disturbing the rest of the room. Its elongated profile of 370 mm adapts to the typical scale of a bedside table or headboard, and the weight of 1.67 kg ensures a stable fixing to the wall.

In the living room, the wall lamp can complement central lighting by creating more intimate zones of light. Placed in a corner or next to a sofa, the wall light provides a secondary light source that breaks up the uniformity of general lighting. The gold finish pairs well with warm textiles, natural wood, or design elements with simple lines.

In the dining room, the REM wall light can be used as lateral lighting to accompany a pendant lamp above the table. This combination allows the atmosphere to be adjusted according to the time of day. A dining room with well-layered lighting feels more welcoming and balanced.

In the kitchen, the wall light can be installed in passageways or in areas where functional light is needed without taking up worktop space. The robustness of the steel body makes it suitable for these environments, where durability matters as much as aesthetics.

In the bathroom, the wall light can be placed near the washbasin as a lateral light source, which provides more uniform facial illumination than overhead lights. For bathroom installations, consult an electrician regarding applicable wet zone regulations.

In hallways, the REM wall light has enough presence to illuminate without being intrusive. Several wall lights distributed along a long hallway create an ordered and functional visual sequence. The sobriety of its design prevents the space from feeling cluttered.

The wall light is also suitable for decoration projects in hotels or restaurants, where a lamp with a defined style is sought that can be installed in series while maintaining visual coherence. The REM collection is designed precisely for these contexts, where design and functionality must coexist with continuous use.
