Overview

The NOVO wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who want functional lighting without sacrificing the character of a space. Its matte terracotta finish gives it a warm and understated presence that doesn't compete with the rest of the environment but rather complements it.

It can be installed in both horizontal and vertical positions, making it a flexible option for different types of walls and space layouts. The front panel, which tilts in three positions, allows the light to be directed according to the specific needs of each location.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Its products are aimed at real domestic use, with a design intended to integrate into everyday environments without complications.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall lamp, a fixed electrical point on the wall is required. It is mounted directly onto the surface, with no additional structure needed. Before installation, make sure your home's electrical system is compatible with the indicated voltage (220V-240V). It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if there is no prior experience with similar installations. Check that the wall has sufficient capacity to support the weight of the wall light.

To keep the wall light in good condition, clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid the use of abrasive or chemical products that could damage the matte finish. Do not handle the lamp while the electricity is connected. The tilting front panel should be handled with care, without forcing the angles beyond the three positions intended by the manufacturer.

Design and use

The NOVO wall light has a steel body with a matte terracotta finish. This tone, close to fired clay, provides a very specific warmth: it is neither neutral nor eye-catching, but something in between that works well with interiors that use earth-toned palettes, off-white, beige, or moss green. The matte texture eliminates reflections, allowing the lamp to blend naturally into the wall without creating visual distractions.

The wall light measures 500 mm in length and only 70 mm in depth, meaning it takes up very little space projecting out from the wall. This proportion is designed not to interfere with foot traffic or nearby elements. In a hallway or entrance, where space tends to be limited, this makes a practical difference.

The front panel tilts in three positions, allowing the direction of the light to be adjusted without changing the position of the wall light on the wall. Depending on how it is oriented, the lamp can project light upward, downward, or more frontally. This feature is useful in rooms where the function of the light changes depending on the time of day or the use of the space.

The option to install it horizontally or vertically expands placement possibilities. Vertically, it can serve as an element that follows the height of a wall, typical in bathrooms on either side of a mirror. Horizontally, it fits better above bed headboards in bedrooms or above furniture in living rooms and dining rooms.

The included light source is an SMD LED at 2700K, a warm color temperature that reproduces the warmth of traditional incandescent light. This type of lighting is especially pleasant in rooms where rest or a relaxed atmosphere is desired, such as the bedroom or dining room. It does not produce the cold, clinical effect of other color temperatures, but rather a soft light that does not strain the eyes.

With 12W of power, energy consumption is low. The LED light source is included, so there is no need to find a compatible bulb: the wall light arrives ready to install and switch on.

In a bathroom, this wall light works well in installations where something warmer than the usual white lighting is desired. Placed on both sides of a mirror, it generates balanced light without harsh shadows. In the living room, it can act as ambient lighting complementary to a main source. In hallways, it provides visual continuity and sufficient light to move around comfortably without being excessive.

The NOVO's design is modern without being markedly minimalist or overly decorative. It does not seek to draw attention, but rather to fit with different interior styles without feeling out of place. The terracotta finish sets it apart from the standard offering in white or black, and adds identity without requiring complex forms.

Questions and answers

Can the NOVO wall light be installed vertically on the wall, for example on either side of a mirror?

Yes. The wall light supports installation in both horizontal and vertical positions, making it especially useful in bathrooms where it is placed on each side of the mirror for balanced lighting.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The SMD LED light source is included with the product. No additional bulb needs to be purchased: the wall light is ready to install directly.

Does the tilting front panel allow the light to be directed in different directions once the wall light is installed on the wall?

Yes. The front panel can be adjusted in three different positions, allowing the light to be directed upward, downward, or more frontally without needing to move the wall light from the wall.
