Overview

The NOVO wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for spaces where light needs to go exactly where it is needed. The front panel folds in three positions, allowing the light beam to be directed upward, downward, or in a neutral position, depending on what each situation calls for. It is not a fixed lamp that always illuminates the same way — it adapts.

It works well in the bedroom next to the bed, in the bathroom above the mirror, in the hallway where overhead light does not reach well, or in the living room as a complementary light source. It also works in the kitchen or dining room when a more directed and controlled light source is desired.

The matte black finish gives it a defined character without being aggressive. It is a modern lamp that fits into interiors with clean lines, without requiring everything else to be in the same style. FARO is a brand with a proven track record in interior and exterior lighting, with products that combine functionality and attention to finish.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, it is recommended to switch off the electrical circuit at the fuse box before starting. It is mounted directly on the wall, horizontally or vertically depending on the chosen orientation. It is advisable to check that the surface is solid and that the anchor points are properly seated. If there are any doubts about the wiring or electrical installation, it is preferable to seek the help of an electrician.

To clean the lamp, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Abrasive products or solvents should not be used on the matte black finish, as they can damage the surface. The lamp has an integrated LED, so no bulb replacement is required. It is recommended not to handle the electrical components while the power is connected.

Design and use

The NOVO wall light has a compact design that does not take up space yet still makes a presence. With 250 mm in length, 107 mm in height, and 67 mm in depth, it is a lamp of contained dimensions that does not visually burden the corner where it is installed. The body is made of steel with a matte black finish, a material that holds up well over time and requires no special care beyond occasional cleaning.

The most distinctive feature of this wall light is the foldable front panel. Many wall lamps have a fixed position, which means they must be installed at a specific point and you can only hope the light falls correctly. Here it can be adjusted in three different positions, giving room to fine-tune the direction of the light after installation. This is useful, for example, in the bedroom: if placed at bedside table height, the light can be directed for reading without disturbing the person beside you.

In the bathroom, a wall light of this type next to the mirror provides clean frontal light, more flattering than that of a ceiling flush mount. The 2700K colour temperature produces a warm light, similar to incandescent, which is pleasant for daily grooming and does not distort colours. Modern bathrooms with dark finishes or neutral tones appreciate this type of lamp, which adds to the space without disrupting the overall coherence.

In hallways where the ceiling light does not cover all areas well, placing one or more wall lights at mid-height can solve the problem of shadowy zones. The ability to install the wall light horizontally or vertically also helps adapt it to the layout of the space and the distance between light points.

For the living room or dining room, this wall light can serve as ambient light or as accent light over a specific area — a shelf, a painting, a reading nook. It does not replace a main lamp, but it complements a layered lighting system well, which is how lighting in modern interiors is conceived today.

Matte black is a finish that pairs with light wood, concrete, white, and grey. It is not a colour that locks in a style: it works equally well with a sober Nordic interior, an industrial setting, or a design with organic lines. The included LED lamp works straight away, with no need to purchase anything additional.

With a net weight of 0.6 kg, it is a lightweight wall light that does not require a particularly sturdy wall. Installation is straightforward and requires no additional structure.
