Overview

MAGRITTE is an adjustable wall light designed to illuminate paintings, photographs, and any decorative element that deserves attention. It mounts directly on the wall and directs the light exactly where it is needed, with no visible cables or additional accessories. It is a lamp designed for spaces where the object matters more than the light source.

This wall light is a good option for the living room, dining room, hallway, or bedroom — anywhere there is something worth highlighting. The Old Gold finish gives it a discreet yet distinguished character that does not compete with what it illuminates. The opal PMMA diffuser softens the light and prevents direct glare.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its products combine quality materials with functional design, intended for real domestic use.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, a nearby power outlet or recessed wall wiring is required. It is fixed directly onto the vertical surface. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if work needs to be done on the wiring. Before starting, make sure to cut the power supply at the distribution board.

To clean the lamp, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Do not use abrasive products or solvents, as they may damage the metallic finish and the diffuser. Avoid moisture entering the inside of the wall light. Do not replace internal components yourself.

Design and use

MAGRITTE is a wall light with very clean lines. The elongated body, 600 mm in length, is made of aluminium and steel, with an Old Gold finish that adds warmth without being eye-catching. The opal PMMA diffuser covers the light source and distributes the beam evenly over the illuminated surface.

The adjustable orientation is the centrepiece of this lamp. It allows the angle of the light to be adjusted according to the exact position of the painting or object to be highlighted. This is especially useful when the arrangement of a wall is changed or when a new piece is hung.

In the living room, this wall light works well above a composition of paintings or alongside a large-format piece. In the dining room, it can be placed above a sideboard with decorative objects or over a work of art that gives character to the space. In the bedroom, it provides warm, directed lighting that does not disturb during rest. In hallways, where general lighting tends to be scarce, an adjustable wall light allows specific elements to be highlighted without overwhelming the space.

The colour temperature of 3000K produces warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. This type of light enhances the perception of warm tones in paintings, photographs, and natural textures such as wood or linen. It is the type of lighting that makes a room look inviting effortlessly.

The LED driver is included, so no additional components need to be purchased. The lamp arrives ready to install, with everything needed inside the packaging.

Due to its finish, MAGRITTE fits well with classic, contemporary, or vintage-style interiors. Old Gold pairs with gold or bronze frames, dark wood furniture, and matte-finish surfaces. It also works in more eclectic environments where pieces from different eras coexist.

Although designed to illuminate paintings, this wall light can also be used above shelves, niches, or any area of the wall that needs to be highlighted. In the bathroom, provided the electrical installation complies with safety regulations for wet areas, it can add a decorative light point above a mirror or an artistic piece. In larger bathrooms with a separate dressing area, an adjustable wall light of these characteristics allows functionality and aesthetics to be combined.

The aluminium and steel construction ensures stability and durability. The net weight of 0.63 kg makes it easy to handle during installation. The compact height dimensions — only 45 mm — allow the wall light to sit flush against the wall without projecting too far into the room.

Questions and answers
