Overview

The LUNE wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who want focused, tidy lighting without the fixture itself drawing too much attention. Its smooth white finish makes it easy to integrate into spaces with light-colored walls, whether in newly renovated homes or interiors that simply need a refresh.

It works well in a bedroom as a side reading light, in a bathroom as lighting next to the mirror, or in a hallway where there is no room to hang anything from the ceiling. The lamp directs light where it is needed and takes up very little space on the wall.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Their products combine functional design with durable materials, intended for everyday domestic use.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires a power point on the wall or the ability to run wiring to the chosen area. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified technician, especially when working near wet areas such as the bathroom. Always switch off the power at the fuse box before starting. The wall light is compatible with voltages between 100V and 240V, so it can be used in different countries without an adapter.

To clean the surface of the wall light, use a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the white finish. Do not clean the lamp while the power is connected or when the bulb is hot. Replace the GU10 LED bulb only when the wall light is completely cool and disconnected.

Design and use

The LUNE wall light has a body built from aluminium and steel, two materials that combine lightness and strength. The result is a lamp that weighs less than 250 grams but feels solid to the touch and does not deform with use. The finish is smooth and matte in white, with no textures or raised surfaces that easily collect dust.

At 155 mm high, 80 mm wide and just 65 mm deep, this wall light takes up very little space on the wall. This makes it particularly useful in narrow hallways, where the depth of a lamp can be a real issue. It also fits well in small bathrooms, where the space between the mirror and the wall is often tight.

In a bedroom, positioned at bedside table height, this wall lamp allows reading without disturbing the person sleeping beside you. It replaces the bedside table lamp in situations where the table surface is occupied or there simply is no room for one. The downward-directed light creates a well-defined reading area without illuminating the entire room.

In the living room, a wall light like this can accompany a sofa, frame a bookcase or add a soft light point in a transition area. It is not a lamp designed to light an entire room, but rather to complement general lighting with specific points of light. This allows layers of light to be created within the same space, something that visibly improves the atmosphere.

In the kitchen or dining room, the LUNE wall light can be used to reinforce lighting in specific areas that fall outside the reach of the main light. In a dining room, two units placed symmetrically on either side of a window or a picture produce a balanced and modern result. In the kitchen, they can be used to illuminate work areas that remain in shadow.

The design of this lamp is neutral and modern, which means it does not impose a particular style on the rest of the space. It adapts to interiors with light furniture, white or grey walls, and clean surfaces. It can also work in spaces that mix styles, as long as white is a color present in the décor. Its simplicity means it goes unnoticed as an object, and attention is drawn to the light it produces rather than to the lamp itself.

The GU10 socket is compatible with a wide variety of LED bulbs available on the market. Since the light source is not included, you can choose the color temperature you prefer depending on the intended use: a warmer light for the bedroom or living room, and a neutral or cool light for the bathroom or kitchen.

Questions and answers

Does the LUNE wall light include the GU10 LED bulb in the box?

No, the bulb is not included. The wall light is compatible with any GU10 LED bulb available on the market. You can choose the color temperature that best suits the space where you plan to install it.

How far does this wall light protrude from the wall once installed?

The depth of the wall light is 65 mm, that is, just over six centimetres from the wall. This is a compact measurement that makes it particularly suitable for hallways or spaces where clearance is limited.

Is it suitable for installation in a bathroom?

The LUNE wall light can be installed in bathrooms, but it is important to verify that the chosen location complies with safety regulations for wet areas. It is recommended to consult an electrician before installing any wall lamp in that environment.
