Overview

LUNE is a wall light from FARO designed for those looking for a discreet and well-resolved lighting solution. It mounts directly on the wall and takes up very little space, making it useful in entryways, hallways, bathrooms, or any room where space is limited. The ribbed white finish gives it its own visual character without being overly eye-catching.

This wall light works with a GU10 LED bulb, which is not included, and accepts voltages between 100V and 240V. This means it is compatible with standard electrical networks without the need for adapters. The lamp has a compact size — 155 mm high, 80 mm long and 65 mm deep — and weighs just 270 grams, making it easy to fix to any type of wall.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine functionality with careful design, and are intended to integrate well into real domestic spaces.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall wiring is in good condition and that the electrical installation is suitable for the indicated wattage. It is fixed directly to the wall using anchors appropriate for the type of surface — for plasterboard, specific wall plugs are recommended. It is advisable to have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if the wiring needs to be connected from scratch.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the white finish. Always disconnect the power before handling the wall light or changing the bulb. Do not exceed the indicated maximum wattage of 8W when choosing the GU10 LED bulb.

Design and use

The LUNE wall light from FARO is made of aluminium and steel, two materials that guarantee stability and long-term durability. The body of the lamp is lightweight but solid to the touch, and the ribbed white finish adds texture to a surface that would otherwise be completely smooth. This detail means the wall light does not go entirely unnoticed, though it does not seek to be the centre of attention either.

The white colour is a practical choice. It blends effortlessly into light-coloured walls, but also contrasts well with darker surfaces or with materials such as wood or exposed concrete. In a living room with neutral-toned furniture, this wall light can be placed at the right height to create ambient lighting that complements the central illumination. In a bedroom, it works as a reading light or as a secondary light point next to the headboard.

In the bathroom, the lamp can be installed on either side of the mirror to achieve more balanced lighting on the face, without the shadows generated by overhead lighting. This is a common solution in bathrooms with large-format mirrors. The white finish holds up well against the ambient humidity typical of these spaces, although it is not suitable for areas where it could be exposed to water directly.

In the kitchen, a wall light like this can be placed above work areas where the general lighting does not reach with sufficient intensity. It is also useful in the dining room if you want to reinforce the lighting of the space without installing an additional ceiling fixture. In narrow hallways, where a large ceiling lamp would be disproportionate, this model fits well due to its compact dimensions.

The GU10 LED light source allows you to choose the colour temperature that best suits each space. A warmer light creates a relaxed atmosphere, suitable for the bedroom or living room. A cooler light is more functional in kitchens or bathrooms. This flexibility is one of the practical advantages of the GU10 system.

The ribbed design of the body works well with modern interiors, but can also be integrated into more classic-style settings or mixed combinations. The simplicity of its form makes it compatible with different types of furniture and décor. In hallways with bare walls or geometric wallpaper, the LUNE wall light provides a point of light that complements the overall look without distorting it.

If several wall lights are installed at the same height along a hallway or on the sides of a room, a linear lighting effect is achieved that visually structures the space. This lamp lends itself to that kind of repeated use without the result feeling overdone, precisely because its form is restrained.

Questions and answers

Does the LUNE wall light require a GU10 LED bulb of a specific wattage?

The wall light accepts GU10 LED bulbs of up to 8W maximum. It is not included in the package, so it must be purchased separately. It is recommended not to exceed that wattage so as not to strain the installation.

Is the aluminium and steel body of the wall light suitable for installation in a bathroom with humidity?

The aluminium and steel body holds up well against the typical ambient humidity of a bathroom. However, it should not be installed in areas where it could be exposed to water directly, such as inside the shower or near the tap.

Is it possible to use the wall light with voltages other than standard European ones?

Yes. The lamp is compatible with a voltage range of 100V to 240V, making it suitable for electrical installations in different countries without the need for additional transformers.
