Overview

The LAGO wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for the bathroom. Its design allows it to be mounted directly above the mirror, where the light reaches the face evenly without annoying shadows. This makes a real difference when shaving, applying makeup, or simply getting a clear view of your reflection without the general ceiling lighting distorting it.

The wall light works with a G9 LED bulb, which is not included, but is easy to find at any lighting or hardware store. The body is made of aluminium with a chrome finish, and the opal glass diffuser spreads the light gently, without intense bright spots or direct glare.

FARO is a Spanish brand with experience in interior lighting. Their products combine functionality with a clean design, and are intended to integrate effortlessly into different decoration styles.

Installation and specifications

For installation, an electrical connection point on the wall is required, at the appropriate height above the mirror. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially in bathrooms where proximity to water requires additional caution. Before starting, make sure to cut the power supply at the distribution board. Check that the wall support is adequate for the weight of the wall light and that the wiring is in good condition.

For cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the chrome finish or the glass. Do not clean the lamp while it is on or immediately after turning it off. To change the bulb, wait for it to cool down completely and disconnect the power supply before handling it.

Design and use

The LAGO wall light has compact dimensions of 150 x 150 x 150 mm, making it practical for spaces where room is limited. It is a lamp that does not impose itself, yet performs its function well. When mounted above the mirror, it concentrates the light exactly where it is needed most: at face height, without relying on ceiling lighting or other sources that may cast shadows.

The chrome aluminium body gives it a refined and durable appearance. Chrome is not just aesthetic: it is a finish that holds up well against the ambient humidity typically found in bathrooms, and maintains its appearance with minimal upkeep. The opal glass diffuser ensures the light is emitted in a soft and uniform way. There is no intense central bright spot, but rather an even distribution that illuminates without causing discomfort.

Although the LAGO wall light is designed for bathrooms, there is nothing to prevent its use in other spaces where a clean, functional wall light is needed. In hallways, for example, it can work well at mid-height, providing sufficient light without taking up space. It also fits in bedrooms as a reading light next to the bed, or as auxiliary lighting in a small room where a ceiling lamp is not enough.

The chrome finish allows this wall light to integrate seamlessly into modern or contemporary style environments. It pairs well with bathroom taps and accessories in silver or chrome, with metal-framed mirrors, and with smooth white or grey surfaces. In a room decorated with more neutral materials, the chrome body adds a touch of contrast without being excessive.

In the bedroom, a wall light like this can replace or complement the bedside lamp, freeing up space on the side surface. In the dining room or living room, one or two units on the wall add a layer of lighting that gives depth to the space without the need to install a larger central light fixture.

The lamp works with a G9 LED bulb of up to 6 W. This type of bulb is compact and efficient. Since it is not included, you can choose the colour temperature that best suits the atmosphere you are looking for: a warmer light for rest areas, or a more neutral light for areas where clear visibility is needed, such as the bathroom mirror or the kitchen.

The reduced weight of the wall light, less than 600 grams, makes installation easy on most walls without the need for special reinforcements. The careful finish on every detail reflects the level of quality that characterises FARO as a manufacturer.

Questions and answers

Does the LAGO wall light include the G9 LED bulb in the package?

No, the bulb is not included. You need to purchase separately a G9 LED bulb with a maximum power of 6 W. It is a very common format and easy to find at lighting or hardware stores.

Can the opal glass diffuser be removed to clean the interior?

The glass diffuser is designed as part of the wall light assembly. For any cleaning or bulb replacement, first disconnect the power supply and wait for the lamp to cool down. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions included in the packaging to find out how to safely access the interior.

Is the chrome aluminium body suitable for the humidity of a bathroom?

Yes. Aluminium with a chrome finish tolerates the typical humid environments found in domestic bathrooms well. To preserve the finish, avoid direct contact with harsh cleaning products and dry the surface if water droplets accumulate on it frequently.
