Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, you need a power point on the wall at the appropriate height. Before starting, cut the electricity supply from the main panel. The fixture is mounted directly to the wall using anchors suited to the surface type. If the wall is plasterboard or hollow material, use specific plugs for that support. Since the wall light can be oriented upward or downward, decide on the final position before drilling the holes. If you have no experience with electrical installations, it is advisable to have it installed by an electrician.

To clean the aluminum body, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin gold finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a dry cloth or a little glass cleaner, always applied with the lamp switched off and cool. Do not directly wet the electrical connection area. Replace the G9 LED bulb only when the lamp is completely disconnected from the power supply.

Design and use

The GALA wall light has a body made of aluminum, a material that offers good resistance without adding unnecessary weight. At under half a kilogram, it is easy to handle during installation. The satin gold finish is not shiny in a mirror-like way: it has a more matte texture that catches the light discreetly and gives the piece an elegant look without being flashy. It is a finish that pairs well with bathroom taps and accessories in golden or bronze tones, without competing with them.

The opal glass diffuser covers the light source and distributes illumination evenly. There is no glare when looking at it directly, and the light it emits has a pleasant quality for a bathroom, where clarity without harshness is generally needed. The lamp does not include a bulb, so a G9 LED must be purchased separately. The G9 base is easy to find and there is a wide range of LED options with different color temperatures. For a bathroom or bedroom, a temperature between 2700 K and 3000 K provides warm light that is more pleasant than cool white. In a living room or dining room where more clarity is desired, a slightly higher temperature also works well with this wall light.

Questions and answers

Can the GALA wall light be installed both above and on the sides of a bathroom mirror?

Yes. The wall light is designed to be wall-mounted in different positions. It can be placed above the mirror or on either side, depending on the available space and the desired lighting effect. It also allows the diffuser to be oriented upward or downward to adjust the direction of the light.

Is IP44 protection sufficient to install this wall light inside a full bathroom with a shower?

IP44 guarantees protection against water splashes from any direction. It is the minimum protection required for damp areas of the bathroom. As long as it is not installed directly inside the shower volume, the GALA wall light meets the requirements for use in bathrooms.

Is the opal glass diffuser permanently fixed or can it be removed to change the bulb?

The diffuser is accessible so that the G9 LED bulb can be replaced when necessary. Always remember to disconnect the lamp from the power supply before handling the diffuser or the light source.
