Overview

The ETERNA wall light by FARO is a surface-mounted luminaire designed for interior spaces where a balance between simplicity and character is sought. The beige shade provides a warm presence without drawing too much attention, making it an option that works well in a bedroom, hallway, living room, or even a well-ventilated bathroom.

The lamp belongs to the ETERNA collection, designed by Lucid with a classic, clean approach. It is not a piece that competes with the rest of the space — rather, it accompanies it. The chrome steel body gives it solidity without adding visual weight, and the beige shade softens the light so it does not feel harsh or direct.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its products are distributed in interior design projects, hotels, and private residences throughout Europe.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the chosen wall is solid and can support the anchor correctly. It is essential to cut the power at the electrical panel before starting any work. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if a new cable outlet needs to be created in the wall. Check that your installation voltage is compatible with the indicated range (100V–240V) before connecting the lamp.

To clean the chrome body of the wall light, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The beige shade can be cleaned with a dry or very slightly damp cloth. Do not wet the electrical components under any circumstances. Always turn off the lamp and wait for it to cool before handling or cleaning it.

Design and use

The ETERNA wall light combines a chrome-finished metal steel body with a beige shade that filters and softens the light. The 470 mm height gives it enough presence to be noticed on the wall without appearing disproportionate. With only 200 mm of depth, it does not take up too much space, making it suitable for hallways where passage must remain clear.

In the bedroom, this type of wall light works well as a reading light or ambient lighting. Placed at the right height beside the bed, it eliminates the need for bedside lamps and keeps surfaces cleaner. The beige shade diffuses the light gently, without creating harsh contrasts that could be disturbing in a space designed for rest.

In the living room, the wall light can be used to create layers of lighting. The main ceiling light is complemented by wall light points that add depth to the space. A wall light of these characteristics, with a clean and classic design, adapts well to neutral-style environments, where the furniture takes centre stage and the lighting acts as a support.

In the dining room, the lamp on the wall helps to create a more intimate atmosphere during dinners. It does not replace the central lamp, but accompanies it and adds nuance. The beige tone of the shade does not clash with any colour palette commonly found in dining rooms: it works equally well with white, grey, or earth-toned walls.

The bathroom is another space where this wall light finds its place, as long as it is installed in an area away from direct water. In larger bathrooms, where there is space for a well-defined vanity or washbasin area, a wall light offers more flattering light than that coming from the ceiling.

The ETERNA collection has a design also intended for hospitality projects — hotels, restaurants, coworking spaces — where functional lighting with a refined appearance is needed. However, that same balance makes it equally valid for a private home. It is not a striking or experimental lamp: it is a luminaire that fulfils its function well and fits effortlessly into many contexts.

The bulb is not included. The lamp uses an E27 socket, the most common on the market, compatible with a wide variety of LED bulbs available at any lighting store. With a maximum power of 15 W, it is sufficient for supplementary or ambient lighting in any room for domestic use.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The wall light uses an E27 socket, compatible with standard LED bulbs that you can easily find at any lighting store or hardware shop.

How far does the wall light protrude from the wall? Is it suitable for narrow hallways?

The depth of the wall light is 200 mm, which equals 20 cm from the wall. In hallways with a standard width it does not pose an obstacle, although if the space is very tight it is advisable to measure it before installation.

Can the chrome steel body lose its finish over time?

The chrome finish on the body is resistant under normal indoor use conditions. To keep it in good condition, simply clean it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products that could scratch or deteriorate the surface.
