Overview

The DANTE wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who need two functions in a single light point: soft ambient lighting and precise reading light. It is especially useful in the bedroom, where the bed requires a dim light for atmosphere and a more directed light for reading without disturbing others. It also fits well in hallways, bathrooms with mirror areas, and reading corners in the living room or dining room.

The lamp combines a 5W indirect ambient light source with an orientable 3W LED reader. Each has its own switch, allowing you to use one, the other, or both depending on the moment. The reader arm is long, making it easy to direct the beam exactly where needed. It also incorporates a honeycomb panel that improves light quality and reduces glare.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products combine functionality and careful design, aimed at both domestic use and interior design projects.

Installation and specifications

For installation, the wall light is fixed directly to the wall using the included anchor points. Before starting, check that the wall wiring corresponds to a 220V–240V installation. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if there is no existing junction box in the wall. The wall light does not include a bulb, so you will need to purchase a compatible COB LED source separately. Make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel before connecting any cables.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the aluminum and steel housing. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the matte white finish. The opal PC diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not connect the wall light if you detect any damage to the cable or housing. Keep the installation area dry, especially if used in bathrooms near areas of direct humidity.

Design and use

The DANTE wall light has a clean, geometric shape that does not draw attention to itself. Its aluminum and steel body in matte white takes up little space on the wall, with a depth of just 80 mm. It is not a lamp that seeks visual prominence, but rather one that integrates effortlessly into its surroundings. This makes it compatible with contemporary, Nordic, or minimalist interiors, where decorative elements tend to be discreet and functional at the same time.

The 2700K colour temperature produces a warm light, close to traditional incandescent light. It is a tone that promotes relaxation and is pleasant in rest environments. In the bedroom, this warmth helps create a calm atmosphere at night. In the living room or dining room, it provides a soft light point that complements other general lighting sources well.

The orientable reader is one of the most practical elements of this lamp. Its length allows the angle to be adjusted with precision, something a short arm does not always achieve. You can direct the light onto the book without affecting the rest of the room. For couples, this means one person can read while the other rests, without the beam of light being bothersome.

The honeycomb panel, located in front of the emitter, acts as an optical filter. It divides the light into small cells that distribute the beam more evenly and reduce the direct bright spot effect. The result is a visually cleaner light that does not tire the eyes over time.

In bathrooms, the wall light can be placed on either side of the mirror to illuminate the face evenly, avoiding shadows that make tasks such as applying makeup or shaving more difficult. Its compact size fits well in spaces where available wall space is limited. In narrow hallways, one or more units of the wall light can resolve the lighting without adding volume to the space.

The dual independent switch design is simple but very practical in use. It allows you to use only the ambient light when a relaxed atmosphere is desired, activate only the reader when concentration is needed, or combine both depending on the situation. It does not require any additional control system or special installation; it works with standard household wiring.

The matte white finish of the body does not reflect light or accumulate marks easily. It combines well with white or neutral-coloured walls, lacquered woodwork, and straight-lined furniture. It can also work as a soft contrast against dark-coloured walls, where the white adds a touch of visual lightness.

Questions and answers

Does the DANTE wall light include the COB LED light source, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp does not include the light source. You will need to purchase a compatible COB LED bulb separately, suitable for a voltage of 220V–240V and a maximum power of 5W.

Does the orientable reader on the DANTE wall light work with the same switch as the ambient light?

No. The wall light has two independent switches: one for the 5W indirect ambient light and one for the 3W LED reader. Each light source is controlled separately.

Is the honeycomb panel on the diffuser removable for cleaning?

The opal PC diffuser with honeycomb panel is part of the wall light's structure. To clean it, simply wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth, without needing to remove it.
