Overview

The COTTON wall light by FARO is a wall lamp with a round fabric shade. It is designed for those looking for decorative lighting that adds warmth without taking up space. It mounts directly to the wall and works well in rooms where you want a light source that accompanies rather than dominates.

This wall light fits in many corners of the home: the bedroom, living room, dining room, or hallway. The round fabric shade distributes light softly, without creating harsh contrasts or pronounced shadow areas. It is a solid option for those who want a lamp that pairs well with light furniture, neutral walls, or Nordic-style décor.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior luminaires. Their products are designed with attention to detail and with materials that ensure durability in everyday use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall is free of hidden electrical wiring in the drilling area. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or a person with experience in domestic electrical installations. Always disconnect the power before working with the wiring. The lamp supports a voltage between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid. Remember that the E27 LED light source is not included and must be purchased separately, respecting the indicated maximum wattage of 15 W.

To clean the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the steel structure. The fabric shade can be cleaned with a soft cloth without harsh chemical products. Avoid direct moisture on the shade and do not use excess water. Do not touch the bulb when it is on or has just been switched off.

Design and use

The COTTON wall light has a steel structure with a matte white finish. This neutral tone allows it to blend easily into walls of different colours, from pure white to grey or beige tones. It does not draw attention on its own, but provides just the right degree of visual presence that a well-considered space needs.

The round fabric shade is the main element of this lamp. The fabric filters the light and turns it into something more diffuse and pleasant. In a bedroom, this type of light helps create a restful atmosphere without sacrificing functional lighting beside the bed. In the living room, a wall light of this kind can complement a floor lamp or ceiling light, adding layers of light that make the space more inviting.

In the dining room, placed at the right height next to a sideboard or on a side wall, the wall light provides a warm tone that suits relaxed gatherings well. It does not replace the main lighting, but adds that second light source that many dining rooms need. The round shade pairs well with tables of organic shapes or with simply designed tableware.

In hallways, where lighting is often limited to a ceiling fixture, a wall light like this completely changes the perception of the space. Hallways with wall lights at mid-height feel more spacious and characterful. The compact size of COTTON, at 200 mm in height and 150 mm in length, makes it especially useful in narrow hallways where there is not much room.

In the bathroom, installed in an area away from direct water exposure, it can serve as decorative lighting next to the mirror or on a free wall. The light it produces, filtered through the fabric, is softer than that of a glass or metal shade wall light. In bathrooms with light finishes and white furniture, the matte white tone of the lamp body goes almost unnoticed, which is an advantage when visual cohesion is desired.

The matte white finish of the steel body is resistant to everyday wear. It is not a glossy finish that shows fingerprints easily, but a matte tone that maintains a clean appearance with little maintenance. This makes it practical for kitchens where the wall light may be near work areas, although always kept away from direct moisture and excessive heat. In a kitchen with white or neutral-toned cabinets, this wall light integrates without creating contrast.

The round format of the shade is a choice that works well in modern interiors as well as in spaces with a more classic or Nordic touch. It has no sharp edges or shapes that clash with other decorative elements. If the space already features artwork, round mirrors, or circular elements, the wall light reinforces that visual line effortlessly.
