Overview

The COCO wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who want to control the direction of light without hassle. It can be oriented 350° on the horizontal axis and 90° on the vertical, allowing you to point the beam exactly where needed — over a painting, a reading area, or a specific point in the room.

This lamp fits well in the bedroom, living room, dining room, or hallway. Its matte white finish and steel and ABS structure make it compatible with modern and neutral interiors, without drawing too much attention to itself.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. The COCO collection is part of their line of products designed in the brand's own laboratory, with attention to detail and a variety of finishes for different tastes and spaces.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, a junction box in the wall or access to recessed wiring is required. As a surface-mounted luminaire, it is fixed directly to the wall without the need for additional structures. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if the cable outlet needs to be prepared. The universal voltage of 100V–240V allows it to be used without adapters in different countries. The GU10 LED bulb is not included, so it is advisable to have it ready before installation.

To clean the lamp, simply use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the steel and ABS surfaces. Abrasive products or solvents should not be used. Before cleaning or changing the bulb, always disconnect the power. The lamp is not designed for outdoor use or in areas with high humidity such as the inside of shower enclosures.

Design and use

The COCO wall light stands out for its compact form and its range of movement. In a wall lamp, the ability to direct light on two axes makes a real difference in day-to-day use. Not every wall has the light outlet in the ideal position, and furniture is not always exactly where one would like it. With this wall light, that is no longer a problem: it adjusts until the angle that works best in each situation is found.

The body is made from ABS and steel, two materials that combine lightness and durability. The matte white finish gives it a clean appearance, without any shine that might clash with the rest of the environment. It is a lamp that integrates easily with white, grey, or neutral-toned walls, and that can also contrast well with wooden surfaces or darker finishes.

In the bedroom, this wall light works as a reading light beside the bed. Because it can be oriented, it allows the light to fall directly on the book or screen without disturbing whoever is nearby. In the living room it can be used to highlight a specific area — a shelf, a plant, or a corner that would otherwise remain in shadow.

In the dining room, one or two units on either side can complement the central lighting and add warmth to the atmosphere. In the bathroom, as long as it is installed in an area without direct exposure to water, this wall light provides more directed light than ceiling lighting, which is useful in front of a mirror. In hallways with little natural light, placing several wall lights at regular intervals is a simple and visually tidy solution.

The COCO collection comes in different versions and finishes, making it easy to combine several pieces within the same space or in different rooms while maintaining visual coherence. It is not a lamp that imposes a specific style — it adapts well to both modern interiors and simpler, more functional environments. Its design is discreet but not generic: it has a distinct form that is noticeable without dominating the space.

The use of LED technology through a GU10 bulb allows you to choose the colour temperature that best suits each room — from warmer tones for the bedroom to more neutral light for the bathroom or hallways. The maximum power of 8 W keeps energy consumption low without sacrificing the quality of the light emitted.

When planning the installation, it is worth taking its dimensions into account: 250 mm in length, 100 mm in height, and 100 mm in depth. It is a compact wall light that does not take up too much visual space on the wall and can be placed even in areas where space is limited. Its net weight of 0.77 kg makes it easy to handle during installation.

Questions and answers

What is the range of movement for orienting the COCO wall light?

The COCO wall light allows an orientation of 350° on the horizontal axis and 90° on the vertical axis. This provides considerable freedom to direct the light towards the exact point needed, without having to reconsider the installation position.

Is the GU10 LED bulb included with the lamp?

No, the light source is not included. A GU10 LED bulb must be purchased separately. When choosing one, please note that the maximum accepted power is 8 W.

Can this wall light be installed in the bathroom?

It can be placed in the bathroom as long as the installation area is not directly exposed to water or heavy steam. For very humid areas or the inside of shower enclosures, it is recommended to check the protection specifications before installing any interior luminaire.
