Overview

The FARO table lamp is a piece designed for those looking for more than just lighting. It works well in the bedroom, on the nightstand, on a work desk, or in a corner of the living room where a more intimate and personal light is needed. It does not take up too much space, and its presence in the room is noticeable without being excessive.

The structure combines aluminum with beechwood, giving it a warm yet clean look. The opal glass diffuser distributes light softly, without harsh contrasts. It is a lamp with a clean design, finished in matte white, that fits both in more modern interiors and in more neutral or natural settings.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in lighting. It works with quality materials and takes care of the balance between form and function in every product.

Installation and specifications

To use this lamp, simply place it on a stable surface: a nightstand, a desk, a dresser, or a shelf with enough space. It does not require any type of anchoring or fixed electrical installation. It needs to be plugged into a standard outlet. Before turning it on, make sure to install an LED bulb with an E27 base and a maximum power of 15 W. The bulb is not included.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents, especially on the glass diffuser and the wood. Always unplug the lamp before handling or cleaning it. Do not touch the bulb when it is hot.

Design and use

The lamp has a height of 300 mm and a base of 210 mm, proportions that make it practical for the nightstand without blocking or getting in the way. It also works well on a desk: it provides enough light for reading or working without being excessive for the space.

The beechwood that forms part of the body adds a texture and tone that aluminum alone cannot provide. Together, the two materials create a base with its own character, finished in matte white so that it fits effortlessly in interiors with light-colored furniture, neutral walls, or even spaces with natural elements such as wicker or rattan.

The opal glass diffuser filters the light and distributes it evenly. The bulb is covered, and what reaches the room is a diffuse light, without glare. This effect is especially useful in the bedroom, where direct light can be bothersome, or in the dining room, where a calmer atmosphere is sought after meals.

Designed by Nahtrang for FARO, this lamp has the kind of style that does not age quickly. It is not eye-catching, but it does not go unnoticed either. Its modern lines and the use of textured materials make it compatible with Nordic interiors, minimalist design, or decorations that mix natural materials with cleaner finishes.

In the living room it can work as a supporting lamp on a console table, a side table, or a low piece of furniture. It provides ambient light that complements the main lighting well when high intensity is not needed. In the bedroom, on the nightstand, it offers exactly what is needed for reading before sleep or for creating a more relaxed atmosphere at night.

The lamp also makes sense in home work spaces. On a home desk, alongside materials such as wood or ceramic, it integrates well without clashing. It is not an articulated arm desk lamp, but for those who prefer a fixed lamp with good presence, it is a solid option.

The weight of almost 1.7 kg gives it stability on the surface. It does not move easily, which is an advantage on tables with little space or on nightstands where it sits alongside other objects. The cable stays tidy and does not create visual clutter.

Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V allows it to be used in different countries without adapters. For those who are renovating or updating their home, it is a detail that simplifies things if they ever move to another country or relocate their furniture.

Questions and answers

Does the lamp include the E27 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. You need to purchase an LED bulb with an E27 base and a maximum power of 15 W. This is a very common format and easy to find in any lighting store or large retailer.

Does the opal glass diffuser completely cover the bulb or is it visible?

The diffuser covers the light source. The function of the opal glass is precisely to filter and distribute the light evenly, so that the bulb is not visible from the outside and there is no direct glare.

Is the beechwood base solid or is it a surface finish over another material?

The body of the lamp combines aluminum and beechwood as structural materials. It is not a simple decorative coating, but materials that form part of the construction of the body.
