Overview

The LE VITA lamp by FARO is a table luminaire designed for those looking for a light source with its own character. It can be placed on a bedside table, a desk, or a dresser, and works equally well in bedrooms, living rooms, or reading corners. Its steel structure in a bright gold finish and opal glass diffuser make it instantly recognizable, without feeling overdone.

What sets this lamp apart is the combination of materials: the fine metal and matte glass work together to produce warm, diffused light without direct glare. It includes a touch system for switching on and off, with three intensity levels that allow you to adjust the ambiance according to the time of day.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. It designs and produces interior luminaires based on quality and aesthetic consistency, with collections like LE VITA that combine functionality and formal refinement.

Installation and specifications

As a table lamp, it does not require ceiling or wall installation. Simply place it on the chosen surface and plug the cable into a standard 220V–240V power outlet. Before switching it on for the first time, check that the voltage of your electrical network is compatible. The LED light source is already included, so you do not need to purchase anything additional to start using it.

To clean the steel body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the gold finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth; always do so with the lamp switched off and unplugged. Do not handle the light source while the lamp is connected to the mains.

Design and use

The LE VITA collection is born from a simple idea: that a table lamp can be discreet in form while still having a presence in the space. Nahtrang's design for FARO starts from fine, clean lines, without unnecessary ornamentation. The result is a luminaire that fits into modern interiors without imposing itself, yet does not go unnoticed either.

The steel structure in a golden tone adds visual warmth to the whole. It is not a flashy or excessive gold, but a bright finish that catches the surrounding light and returns it softly. On a bedside table, this lamp creates the kind of atmosphere that makes a bedroom feel more considered, more lived-in. Next to a desk, it adds a touch of warmth that the cold light of a screen cannot provide.

The opal glass diffuser is one of the elements that most defines this lamp. The matte glass filters the LED light and distributes it evenly, without creating harsh shadows or areas of contrast. At 2700K, the color temperature sits in the warm range, close to traditional incandescent light. It is the kind of light that relaxes, that invites you to slow down. In a room with little natural light, it can be the complement that changes the perception of the space.

The integrated touch system eliminates conventional switches. One touch on the lamp body switches it on; another touch changes the intensity; a third switches it off. Three light levels allow you to move from functional lighting to a more intimate ambiance without getting up. It is especially useful on a bedside table, where switching the light on or off before sleep becomes completely natural.

The height of 580 mm makes this lamp visible and functional without dominating the space. On an auxiliary side table or a living room shelf, its proportions fit well. It is not a lamp for intensive desk work, but a piece designed for environments where light also serves a decorative function. In that sense, it works well in bedrooms, living rooms, reading areas, and rest corners.

As for combining it with other elements, the gold finish pairs well with light woods, white marble, textiles in neutral tones, and lacquered surfaces. It can also work as a contrast in spaces dominated by black or dark grey. It is neither a rustic nor an industrial lamp, but a piece of modern design with a touch of classic warmth that makes it versatile across different decorating styles.

The included SMD LED light source consumes 7 W, resulting in very low energy consumption for daily use. It does not require frequent replacement, and since it is already installed, the lamp is ready to use from the very first moment.

Questions and answers

Does the touch system work at any point on the lamp body or only in a specific area?

The Touch Lamp system is integrated into the lamp body. Generally, touching the metal structure is enough to activate it, although the exact area may vary slightly depending on the model. In any case, there is no need to look for a separate button or switch.

Is the 2700K color temperature suitable for reading or working at a desk?

Light at 2700K is warm, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. It is comfortable for relaxed environments and occasional reading, but if you are looking for a desk lamp for prolonged work or tasks requiring high visual precision, you may prefer a light source with a higher color temperature.

Does the opal glass diffuser protect the eyes from direct LED glare?

Yes. The opal glass acts as a filter and disperses the light from the LED source before it reaches the eye, preventing glare. This means the perceived light is soft and uniform, without directly seeing the light point.
