Overview

The CONGA table lamp by FARO is a desktop luminaire designed for interior spaces where detail matters. Its compact size makes it a practical option for placing on a bedside table, a desk, or a side surface in the living room. It also fits well in hospitality projects: hotel rooms, reception areas, or rest spaces where a carefully considered atmosphere is sought without excess.

The steel body in matte white finish and the white fabric shade give it a clean, orderly appearance. It does not impose or distract. It integrates easily into modern-style interiors, though it can also work in more neutral or Scandinavian-inspired environments. FARO is a brand with a track record in design lighting. The CONGA collection is part of its Faro Lab line, oriented toward interior solutions with aesthetic criteria.

Installation and specifications

Installing this lamp requires no special tools or intervention in the ceiling or wall. Simply place it on any stable flat surface — a bedside table, an auxiliary piece of furniture, or a desk — and connect it to the power supply. Before inserting the E27 LED bulb, make sure the lamp is unplugged. Verify that the bulb does not exceed the indicated maximum power of 15 W. The compatible voltage is 100V–240V, so it works without adapters in most countries.

To clean the steel body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. The fabric shade can be cleaned with a dry cloth or a soft brush. Do not wet the shade directly. Do not leave the lamp on unattended for extended periods and keep it away from flammable materials.

Design and use

The CONGA lamp has a discreet presence that, precisely for that reason, works well in many contexts. It does not need to take center stage to add something to the space. It rests on any surface and immediately begins to define the atmosphere of the room.

The body is made of steel, a material that provides solidity without adding visual weight. The matte white finish avoids unnecessary glare and maintains a clean appearance even over time. The white fabric shade diffuses light softly, which is pleasant in rest spaces. On a bedside table, for example, that filtered light is sufficient for reading without disturbing someone sleeping nearby.

On a desk, the lamp takes up little space and provides focused lighting without being an articulated arm lamp. For those who prefer something more fixed and with more visual character, this option fits well. The design is restrained, but has its own personality thanks to the combination of metal and fabric.

In the living room, placed on a side table or in a corner next to the sofa, it can function as ambient light. It does not illuminate the entire room, but it creates a warm light zone that invites you to sit down. In a small dining room, on a sideboard or buffet, it also makes sense: it adds indirect light to the area without requiring ceiling installation or construction work.

The CONGA collection is also designed for hospitality projects. In a hotel room, this lamp on the bedside table conveys order and quality. It is modern without being eye-catching, and that is exactly what is sought in those environments. The white finish makes it easy to combine with different decoration styles — from the most Nordic to more neutral or minimalist proposals.

The E27 socket allows you to choose the color temperature of the LED bulb according to use. A warmer light is suitable for bedrooms and rest areas. A cooler light may work better on the desk. The lamp does not include a bulb, so that detail is left to the buyer, which is a real advantage.

With a height of 360 mm and a base of 215 x 215 mm, the table it is placed on does not need to be large. It fits in tight spaces without looking out of place. The weight of 1.67 kg gives it sufficient stability on flat surfaces. It does not tip over easily, which matters on a bedside table or a desk with movement.

If you are looking for a lamp that does not demand too much — either in installation or maintenance — and that at the same time has a carefully considered appearance, the CONGA fulfills that role without complications. It is the kind of piece that, once placed, seems as though it was always there.

Questions and answers

What type of bulb does this lamp require and what is the maximum admitted power?

It uses an E27 base bulb with LED technology. The recommended maximum power is 15 W. The bulb is not included, so you will need to purchase it separately. You can choose the color temperature according to your intended use.

Is it compatible with the electrical installation of different countries?

Yes. The lamp operates in a voltage range of 100V to 240V, making it compatible with most electrical installations without the need for a transformer or voltage adapter.

Can the white fabric shade yellow or deteriorate from the heat of the bulb?

Using an LED bulb of up to 15 W, heat generation is very low, which reduces the risk of shade deterioration. It is recommended not to exceed the indicated maximum power in order to maintain the luminaire in good condition over the long term.
