Overview

The WHIZZ pendant lamp by FARO is a suspension luminaire designed for interiors where design matters as much as functionality. It is fixed to the ceiling and hangs elegantly, without taking up space in the room or visually overloading the environment. Its combination of black and satin gold finishes makes it a piece that catches the eye without needing to impose itself.

It is a suitable option for those who want to refresh the lighting in the living room, dining room or bedroom with something that has its own character. The WHIZZ collection was created by designer Christoph Friedrich Wagner, which gives this lamp a clear identity within FARO's range, a brand with years of experience in the world of interior lighting.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp, a previously installed ceiling light point is required. The suspension cable is already integrated into the luminaire, so no additional accessories are needed to hang it. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified professional. Before starting, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The weight of the piece is 1.19 kg, making it suitable for standard ceilings without the need for reinforced anchors.

To clean the steel body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black finish. The bulb is not included, so choose an E27 socket bulb compatible with LED and with a maximum power of 15 W. Do not handle the lamp with the power connected.

Design and use

The WHIZZ pendant lamp has an oval shape that sets it apart from more conventional luminaires. That oval silhouette is not just an aesthetic decision: it also defines how light is distributed in the space, generating a clean and balanced visual presence. The body is made of steel with a matte black finish, a material that provides solidity and a refined appearance that holds up well over time.

The contrast between the black body and the satin gold details is what makes this lamp stand out in any corner. It is not a bright or flashy gold, but a soft finish that integrates naturally into modern, Nordic or industrially-touched interiors. This color combination is a trend in decoration and allows the lamp to function as a decorative element even when switched off.

Hanging from the ceiling, the lamp occupies the visual center of the space without needing any other focal point. In a living room, it can be placed above a coffee table or in a reading area to create a specific and characterful light point. In the dining room, one or several units above the table generate a warm and well-defined atmosphere, with that sense of close light that makes moments at the table more pleasant.

In the kitchen it also finds its place, especially above an island or countertop where functional light is needed without sacrificing style. Its contained size, with a diameter of 250 mm, makes it versatile: it does not require high ceilings or large spaces to look good. In a bedroom it can replace bedside lamps when installed in pairs, one on each side of the bed, providing cleaner lighting and freeing up the surface of the bedside tables.

The lamp can also work in a long hallway or an entrance, where a well-chosen pendant completely transforms the perception of the space. Being a modern luminaire with a defined oval silhouette, it needs no accompaniment to convey visual coherence.

The WHIZZ collection accepts an LED bulb with an E27 socket, which gives flexibility to adjust the color temperature according to the desired atmosphere. A warm light accentuates the golden tones of the finish and creates a more intimate ambiance, while a more neutral light reinforces the contemporary character of the design. The universal voltage between 100V and 240V allows its use without adapters in different countries.

Glass is not part of this lamp's structure, which simplifies maintenance and reduces the risk of breakage. Steel, for its part, is a resistant material that does not deform with heat or lose its color over time if properly cared for.

For those looking for a lamp with real design, made with quality materials and built to last, WHIZZ offers a solid answer without unnecessary gimmicks.

Questions and answers

Is the suspension cable adjustable in height?

The total height of the lamp is 1760 mm. If you need to adjust the cable length to suit your ceiling, consult an electrician before installation, as modifying the cable requires technical knowledge.

What type of bulb do I need to buy for this lamp?

You need a bulb with an E27 socket, compatible with LED technology and with a maximum power of 15 W. The bulb is not included in the box, so you will need to purchase it separately.

Can the gold finish deteriorate from bathroom humidity?

This luminaire is designed for general interiors. If you install it in a bathroom, make sure the area is not directly exposed to steam or water. In dry areas of the bathroom, such as the entrance or vanity area, it can work well without any issues.
