Overview

NINA is a pendant lamp from the brand FARO designed for those looking for something simple that works well in any corner of the home. Its oval shape and matte white finish allow it to fit effortlessly in a living room, bedroom, kitchen, or even a hallway. It doesn't draw too much attention, but it doesn't go unnoticed either.

What makes this lamp useful is its compact size and warm light. With a color temperature of 2700K, the atmosphere it creates is inviting, without the coldness found in many modern lights. The integrated LED consumes only 4W, so there's no need to worry about energy costs or frequently replacing bulbs.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products are designed to last and to adapt to real spaces, not just decoration catalogs.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this pendant lamp, check that the ceiling light point is correctly connected and that the electrical installation supports the indicated voltage (220V–240V). As this is a ceiling-mounted suspension luminaire, it is recommended that installation be carried out by an electrician or a person with basic electrical knowledge. Make sure to cut the power before making any connections.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents on the aluminum body or the PMMA diffuser, as they could damage the finish. Avoid dust buildup on the transparent diffuser, as it can reduce light quality over time.

Design and use

NINA has an elongated oval shape that gives it a clean and discreet profile. Its matte white aluminum body is lightweight, weighing less than 350 grams, and yet conveys solidity once installed. There are no rattling parts or mismatched finishes. Everything is resolved with simplicity.

The transparent PMMA diffuser allows the light source to be seen directly, reinforcing that sense of modernity without excess. The lamp does not try to imitate crystal or glass, but it has a clear visual presence. This combination of aluminum and PMMA is common in modern luminaires precisely because it holds up well over time and does not deteriorate with everyday use.

The light it emits is warm, at 2700K. That range is the most common in rest and gathering areas, because it does not strain the eyes and creates a pleasant atmosphere without being too dim. In a dining room, it creates that well-lit table atmosphere without overwhelming the space. In a bedroom, the warmth of the light promotes relaxation without sacrificing visibility.

Being a pendant lamp with compact dimensions, it adapts well to spaces where there is no room for something more voluminous. In a kitchen, it can be installed above an island or countertop and serve its function without interfering with work. It also works in a bathroom if the installation area permits from an electrical safety standpoint, although in that case it is advisable to consult the applicable safety regulations.

In a living room, NINA can be used on its own or combined with other lights to create different levels of lighting. Its oval profile allows it to coexist easily with straight-lined furniture or more organic elements. It does not compete with the rest of the space: it simply becomes part of it.

The room where this lamp fits best is one where functionality is sought without sacrificing detail. It is not a design piece that commands all the attention, but a luminaire that does its job well and that, over time, is hard to imagine not being there.

The suspension cable allows the hanging height to be adjusted according to the needs of each ceiling or space. This provides some flexibility during installation, something that is appreciated in homes where ceilings have different heights between rooms.

Questions and answers

Can the LED in the NINA lamp be replaced if it breaks?

The SMD LED light source is integrated into the luminaire and comes included from the factory. It is not designed to be replaced by the user. If the LED stops working within the warranty period, please contact us.

Does the PMMA diffuser look the same as crystal or glass?

Not exactly. Transparent PMMA has an appearance similar to glass, but it is lighter and more impact-resistant. At first glance it may look like glass, but its behavior under knocks or drops is different. It is a common material in modern luminaires due to its durability.

How much suspension cable does the lamp include for adjusting the height from the ceiling?

The manufacturer's specifications indicate a total height of 130 mm. To find out the exact length of the hanging cable or if you need more detail about the adjustment possibilities, write to us.
