Overview

The FARO KOMBO lamp is a hanging ceiling luminaire designed for those looking for a clean, balanced style at home. Its matte black cylindrical structure and beige metal shade create a combination that fits effortlessly in dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms. It doesn't draw excessive attention, but it doesn't go unnoticed either. It's simply well resolved.

This version comes with a multiple canopy of three lights, which allows you to cover long tables or large areas without needing to install several independent lamps. The 20 cm diameter makes each head compact and neat. Ideal if you want a pendant lamp that provides sufficient light without taking up too much visual space.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine aesthetic judgement with solid manufacturing, and the KOMBO series is no exception.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this pendant lamp on the ceiling, check that the structural support can bear the weight of the assembly. The cable has a total length of 5000 mm, which gives room to adjust the height at which it is suspended. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it involves direct connection to the mains. Make sure to cut the power before starting any work on the ceiling.

To clean the metal shade, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The matte black structure can accumulate dust over time; a soft cloth is sufficient to keep it in good condition. Do not handle the bulb while the lamp is on or immediately after turning it off.

Design and use

The KOMBO series was born from the Nutcreatives design studio with a clear idea: to create a family of pendant lamps that could adapt to different environments without losing visual coherence. The key lies in that combination of a matte black cylinder at the top and a beige shade at the bottom. Two simple elements that, together, form something recognisable.

The beige shade is oval in profile and is made of metal. There is no glass, no wicker, no materials requiring special care. It is a ceiling lamp designed to last and to remain in good condition over time. The oval shape of the shade softens the geometry of the cylinder and prevents the assembly from looking too cold or industrial.

This version with a multiple canopy groups three light points under a single ceiling anchor. That means a single installation for three pendant lamps, which greatly simplifies the work and delivers a very neat result. Three heads with an oval shade, each with its own E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W, distributed so that light reaches the entire area in a balanced way.

In the dining room, this pendant lamp works particularly well above rectangular tables. The three light points align with the length of the table and avoid shadows at the ends. Nothing else is needed to light that space well. In the kitchen, it can be placed above the island or work area, where direct light is important and the style has to withstand everyday use.

In the bedroom, the beige tone of the oval shade adds warmth without overwhelming. If the room has neutral colours or earth tones, this ceiling lamp fits naturally. It also works in the living room, hung in the centre or shifted towards a reading or relaxation area. In the bathroom, provided that safety distances from wet zones are respected, it can be an elegant option.

The matte black finish of the body is one of those details that makes the modern lamp work in many different contexts. It combines well with wood, iron, white or grey surfaces. It does not impose a specific style, but adapts. If the rest of the space has a more Nordic look, the KOMBO pendant lamp fits in. If the environment is more classic or has vintage elements, the beige of the oval shade connects it without any problem.

The 5000 mm cable allows the height to be adjusted with considerable freedom. In high ceilings, the lamp can hang well and become a visual element. In lower ceilings, the cable is shortened and the light stays closer to where it is needed. That flexibility means the same luminaire can work in different spaces of the home without feeling forced.

Questions and answers

How many bulbs does this lamp need and what type does it accept?

This version with a multiple canopy has three light points, each with an E27 socket. It accepts LED bulbs of up to 15 W per point. Bulbs are not included and must be purchased separately.

Can the 5000 mm cable be shortened during installation?

Yes. The cable has that length to allow for high ceilings, but it can be trimmed when adjusting the height at the time of installation. It is recommended that this be done by an electrician to maintain the safety of the connection.

Is the beige oval shade made of metal or another material?

The shade is entirely made of metal. It contains no glass or fragile materials. The beige finish is part of the surface treatment and can be cleaned easily with a soft cloth.
