Overview

The FARO DIANA 800 lamp is a pendant ceiling luminaire designed for those seeking accent lighting without cluttering the space. Its linear shape and dark brown finish make it compatible with interiors where earth tones, wood, or natural materials predominate. It works well as a light point above a dining table, in a living room with defined zones, or in a bedroom where a warm, contained light source is desired.

The aluminum body keeps the structure lightweight. The transparent PC diffuser reveals the light source, which contributes to the accent effect this type of lamp seeks. The 2700K color temperature produces warm light, similar to a traditional bulb, without feeling cold or clinical.

FARO is a Spanish brand with experience in decorative lighting and interior design. Its products combine careful construction with a design that adapts to contemporary spaces without losing versatility.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant ceiling lamp, an existing ceiling light point with an electrical connection is required. Wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician if you have no prior experience. Before starting, disconnect the power supply from the main panel. Check that the ceiling support is suitable for the weight of the luminaire. The LED light source is not included, so make sure to purchase a compatible SMD LED bulb before installation.

To clean the aluminum body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the dark brown finish. The transparent PC diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth without excessive pressure. Do not handle the lamp with the power connected.

Design and use

The DIANA 800 is a pendant ceiling lamp with a very slim profile, 32 mm in diameter, making it a piece that takes up little visual space but generates a concentrated and defined lighting effect. Its cable or rod length reaches up to 800 mm, allowing it to be placed at a comfortable height above work surfaces, tables, or reading areas.

The body is made of aluminum, a material that combines strength with low weight. This makes installation easier and reduces the load on the ceiling point. The dark brown finish gives it a warm character that fits well with interiors featuring neutral tones, wood surfaces, wicker or rattan elements. It is not a lamp that stands out for its size, but for how it integrates into the overall space.

The transparent PC diffuser exposes the LED light source, enhancing the accent effect. When switched on, the light is projected directly downward, creating a clear cone of illumination over the surface to be highlighted. The 2700K temperature produces warm tones that are not tiring on the eyes and are pleasant in spaces where time is spent, such as the living room or bedroom.

In a dining room, this type of pendant lamp works very well above the table, especially when several units are installed in a line. The linear shape of the DIANA 800 reinforces that composition and creates an orderly visual effect. It is also a valid option in the kitchen, above the countertop or island, where accent lighting helps to work with greater precision without relying solely on the room's general light.

In the bedroom it can be used as a suspended bedside lamp, replacing nightstands or wall sconces. It works well in rooms with a Nordic feel or with geometric design elements. In the bathroom, as long as it is installed in an area without direct contact with water, it can serve as a secondary light point that complements the mirror.

The lamp's scale also makes it useful in transitional spaces such as the hallway, where a hanging light source marks the path without visually overwhelming. Its slim profile does not interfere with movement and integrates discreetly into the ceiling.

In terms of style combinations, the DIANA 800 in dark brown pairs well with natural wood furniture, earth-toned textiles, and metal pieces with matte finishes. It fits in environments with industrial or rustic references, but also in more modern interiors where the contrast of materials is part of the decorative language.

Questions and answers

Does the DIANA 800 lamp include the LED bulb for immediate use?

No. The SMD LED light source is not included in the package. It must be purchased separately before installing the lamp. Make sure it is compatible with the maximum power of 6W and the voltage of 220V–240V indicated in the specifications.

What is the diameter of the pendant lamp body?

The body has a total diameter of 32 mm. It is a very slim profile, which gives it its linear and discreet appearance, suitable for spaces where too large a visual presence is not desired.

Is the 2700K color temperature suitable for rest areas?

Yes. 2700K produces warm light, similar to that of a classic incandescent bulb. It is a temperature that creates a relaxed atmosphere, which is why it is comfortable in bedrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms where a cozy tone is sought rather than cold, functional light.
