Overview

The DIANA 600 pendant lamp by FARO is a suspension luminaire designed for those looking for a specific light point without visually overloading the space. Its elongated shape and matte black finish make it a discreet option that fits well in contemporary interiors where every element serves a clear purpose.

It is installed directly on the ceiling and directs light downward, making it especially useful for accent lighting: highlighting a table, a work area, or a specific corner of the living room or dining room. The lamp is not intended to illuminate the entire room, but to create a warm, defined focal point where needed.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Its products combine functional design with quality materials, and the DIANA 600 is a good example of that line: without unnecessary ornamentation, but with a visual result that makes a difference.

Installation and specifications

To install this lamp on the ceiling, it is recommended to verify that the electrical connection point is in the correct position before beginning assembly. As a pendant luminaire with a cable, it is important to ensure that the ceiling support can hold the weight of the unit without issue. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, the most prudent approach is to hire an electrician. The lamp does not include a light source, so it will be necessary to purchase a compatible SMD LED of up to 6W with a color temperature of 2700K.

To keep the lamp in good condition, simply clean the aluminum body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black finish. The transparent PC diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Always disconnect the lamp from the power supply before any maintenance task.

Design and use

The DIANA 600 is a pendant lamp with a very slim profile, featuring a cylindrical aluminum body measuring 32 mm in diameter and 600 mm in length. That proportion between thickness and height is what gives it its character: a clean vertical line that drops from the ceiling without occupying visual space. In a living room with straight-lined furniture or in a dining room with a long table, that kind of proportion works well because it does not compete with the other elements.

The matte black finish of the body is one of the details most appreciated in this type of luminaire. It does not reflect ambient light and integrates easily in both neutral-toned spaces and darker interiors. Place this lamp above a dark wood table or next to modern design shelving, and the result is effortlessly coherent.

The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows the 2700K LED light to emerge in a direct and warm manner. That color temperature is close to classic incandescent light, which creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, especially in the kitchen or bedroom, where cool light can feel too intense at the end of the day.

As an accent pendant lamp, the DIANA 600 is not intended to be the only light source in a large room. It works best as a complement: above a kitchen island, beside the bed in a bedroom, or forming a composition of several suspended lights at different heights in the living room. Combined with other lamps of the same finish, it can create a coherent visual proposal without the need for complex solutions.

In spaces such as the bathroom, where precision in lighting is needed, a lamp of this type can be placed above the mirror or vanity area to add directed light without being intrusive. Also in the hallway, where the ceiling is often the only available plane, an oval and slender lamp like this occupies very little physical or visual space.

The contained weight of 0.65 kg makes ceiling installation straightforward and does not require special reinforcements in most cases. The aluminum construction ensures durability without adding unnecessary mass.
