Overview

ART is a pendant lamp holder from the brand FARO, designed for interior lighting. Its version with a multiple canopy for 5 lights allows five light points to be distributed from a single ceiling anchor point, making it especially useful in spaces where a clear visual presence and balanced lighting are desired.

This type of pendant lamp works well both in a large living room and in a dining room where the table needs good overhead light. It also fits without complications in a bedroom or in a kitchen with a clear ceiling. The old gold finish gives it its own character: it is not a bright or flashy finish, but one with a matte texture that integrates well with warm tones, dark woods, or walls in neutral colors.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in decorative lighting. Their products are aimed at those looking for something more than a functional lamp, without that meaning giving up practicality.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this pendant lamp holder, check that the ceiling anchor point is secure and ready to support the fixture. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it involves direct connection to the mains. Make sure to cut the power before starting any work. The suspension cable has a total length of 1590 mm, so it is advisable to measure the available height from the ceiling before installation to adjust the drop according to the space.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the steel surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the old gold finish. Do not handle the lamp holder while the installation is live. Always use E27 LED bulbs with a maximum power of 15 W per socket.

Design and use

The ART model from FARO is a suspension lamp holder with a multiple canopy for five lights. It is made of steel with an old gold finish, a warm and slightly aged tone that adds character without feeling overdone. It is not a discreet lamp, but neither is it visually aggressive. It is the kind of piece that stands out in a space without dominating everything else.

The structure allows five lamp holders to hang from a single point on the ceiling, giving freedom to combine different bulbs or shades depending on the style desired. Each socket is E27, the most common standard, so there is plenty to choose from: from a filament bulb with a vintage look to a more modern spherical or globe LED. That flexibility means the lamp can adapt to different environments simply by changing the bulb.

In a living room, an installation of five hanging lights from the same point creates a composition that fills the space visually without needing additional elements. It works especially well above a coffee table or in a reading area. In a dining room, this type of lamp provides presence exactly where it is needed: above the table, concentrating the light on the area of use. The old gold finish pairs well with furniture in medium tones, natural wood, or off-white lacquered finishes.

In a bedroom, five light points suspended from the ceiling can replace a conventional central lamp with a more interesting result. Depending on the bulbs chosen, the light can be more diffuse or more directed. In a kitchen with sufficient space, this pendant lamp adds a decorative touch that is rarely achieved with standard functional lighting options.

The concept is simple: a canopy on the ceiling from which five cables emerge, each with its own lamp holder. There are no shades included, no glass, no globe. What you see is the structure, the cable, and the bulb. This makes it a lamp with a more industrial or vintage profile depending on the environment, but always with a defined presence.

The total installation height can reach 1590 mm from the ceiling, although the cable generally allows this drop to be adjusted. It is important to keep this in mind in spaces with low ceilings, where it may be advisable to shorten the run so that the lights sit at a comfortable and safe height.

The multiple canopy, which is the central point from which the five cables branch out, is also finished in old gold, giving visual coherence to the whole. Nothing clashes. The piece works as a unit even though it is made up of several parts.

For those renovating a room or looking for a focal point in the living room or dining room without resorting to a conventional oval lamp, ART offers something different: five light points from a single point, with a finish that ages well and a steel structure that ensures durability.

Questions and answers

Does the multiple canopy allow the position of each pendant lamp holder to be adjusted independently?

The canopy distributes the five cables from a fixed central point on the ceiling. The position of each lamp holder depends on the length of the individual cable, which can be adjusted during installation, but they cannot be moved laterally in an independent manner.

Is this lamp compatible with bulbs from any manufacturer that have an E27 base?

Yes, the lamp holder accepts any bulb with an E27 base and a maximum power of 15 W. It is recommended to use LED bulbs to make better use of energy efficiency and to respect the indicated power limit.

Is the old gold finish on the steel body resistant to friction during installation or regular use?

The finish is applied over steel, which gives it a solid base. Even so, it is advisable to handle the piece carefully during assembly and to avoid contact with abrasive cleaning products so that the tone and texture are maintained over time.
