Overview

PIVOT is an outdoor wall light designed to illuminate terraces, gardens, and passageways. It mounts directly onto the wall and uses integrated LED technology, which simplifies both installation and daily use. It is a lamp designed for outdoor spaces where stable, well-distributed light is needed, without complications.

The body is made of die-cast aluminium and the diffuser of opal glass. This combination makes the wall light resistant to outdoor conditions and ensures that the light is distributed evenly, without concentrated glare. The dark grey finish gives it a sober presence that suits modern facades, stone walls, or painted surfaces.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor luminaires. Their products combine functionality and aesthetic judgement, designed for those seeking durable solutions without compromising on design.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall surface is dry and level. As this is an outdoor wall-mounted lamp, it is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Check that the wiring at the connection point is compatible with the indicated voltage (100V–240V) and is properly protected against moisture. Use appropriate anchors depending on the wall type: brick, concrete, or block.

To keep the wall light in good condition, clean the aluminium body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The opal glass diffuser may accumulate dirt over time; clean it with water and mild soap, without scrubbing hard. Do not handle the lamp while the installation is connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The PIVOT wall light has a compact structure that does not take up unnecessary space on the wall. With a height of 260 mm and a depth of just 86 mm, it adapts well to spaces where the lamp should not protrude too much. It is a suitable option for entrances, outdoor corridors, covered terraces, or passageways next to the garden.

The die-cast aluminium from which the body is made is a material that withstands exposure to sunlight and temperature changes well. It does not oxidise easily and maintains its shape over time. The dark grey finish not only provides visual consistency, but also better conceals dust and marks that can appear in an outdoor environment.

The opal glass diffuser is one of the elements that most influences how light is perceived in the space. Unlike transparent glass, the opal filters the LED light beam and distributes it gently into the surroundings. The result is lighting without harsh shadows or direct light spots that could bother the eyes. This makes it especially useful in areas where people linger or pass through, such as a terrace with a table and chairs or the main entrance of a home.

The colour temperature of 3000K produces a warm light, close to a yellowish white. This tone is pleasant in outdoor night-time settings and integrates well with natural materials such as wood, stone, or brick. On a terrace with a stoneware floor or next to a facade in neutral colours, this lamp adds warmth without altering the palette of the surroundings.

As this is a lamp with an integrated LED light source, there is no need to replace bulbs. The LED light source is already included and ready to use from the first moment. With 10W of power, it provides sufficient illumination for an outdoor wall light without high energy consumption.

The PIVOT wall light does not include a motion sensor or built-in detector, but it can be connected to external control systems if the installation point already has one. This makes it compatible with installations where the sensor or motion detector is already part of the general electrical circuit of the garden or terrace. There is no need to modify the lamp to integrate it into that type of configuration.

As for combining it with other elements, the PIVOT works well alongside luminaires from the same range or with wall lights of simple lines. On a multi-storey facade, placing two units at the same height on both sides of a door creates a balanced composition. It also works well as side lighting on a wall that delimits a patio or garden, where raking light can highlight the texture of the material.

Questions and answers

Does the PIVOT wall light include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp includes the integrated LED light source. There is no need to purchase any additional bulb; the wall light is ready to connect from the moment of installation.

Is the colour temperature of 3000K suitable for a terrace used at night?

Yes. 3000K produces a warm light that is pleasant outdoors at night. It is not a cold or intense light, but a tone that creates a calm atmosphere and promotes visibility without bothering the eyes.

Does the aluminium body withstand direct exposure to sun and rain well?

Die-cast aluminium is a resistant material for outdoor use. It handles temperature changes well and does not deteriorate with sun exposure. For a longer service life, it is recommended to clean the wall light periodically with a damp cloth.
