Overview

This outdoor wall light from the brand FARO is designed for those looking for a functional and discreet lamp at the same time. It mounts directly on the wall, without additional structures, and distributes light upward and downward, creating a clean and balanced effect on the facade, terrace, or garden.

The die-cast aluminum body provides solidity without adding weight. The transparent glass diffuser lets light through without filtering it too much, resulting in direct and clear illumination. The matte white finish works well with light-colored walls and also contrasts nicely with dark or stone surfaces.

FARO is a Spanish company with experience in luminaires for outdoor and indoor use. Their products are designed to last under real-use conditions, not just in a catalog.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the exterior wall is dry and free of cracks. Since the fixture is wall-mounted, ensure you use the appropriate anchors and screws for the type of surface: concrete, brick, or cladding. Turn off the electrical power before making any connections. If you do not have experience with outdoor electrical installations, the safest option is to hire an electrician.

To clean the body of the wall light, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white aluminum finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a dry cloth or water, without harsh products. Periodically check that the wall light is securely fixed to the wall, especially after periods of strong wind or heavy rain.

Design and use

This outdoor wall light combines a contemporary design with materials built to withstand the conditions of outdoor use. The die-cast aluminum body is both resistant and lightweight, making it easy to transport and install on any type of wall. The transparent glass diffuser does not alter the tone of the light, so what you see is exactly what it illuminates.

The lamp emits light both upward and downward from the wall. This type of distribution is especially useful on facades where you want to emphasize the height of a building or highlight an entrance. In a garden, this effect can be used to mark a path, define the perimeter of a terrace, or simply add visual presence when night falls. The resulting light beam is clean, with no strange halos or uncovered areas.

With a color temperature of 4000K, the light produced by this wall light is neutral, neither too warm nor too cold. This range is ideal for outdoor spaces where good visibility is needed without the light feeling harsh. On a terrace with plants or outdoor furniture, that neutral tone allows colors to be perceived naturally, without the excessive yellow of warm lights or the coldness of whiter options.

The compact size of the wall light, at 157 mm in height and 92 mm in length, allows it to be installed in spaces where a larger lamp would not fit. A narrow column, a partition wall, the side of a garden gate: in all these spots this fixture fits without taking up more space than necessary. Its weight of less than one kilogram also simplifies installation.

The universal voltage between 100V and 240V means this wall light works with any standard domestic electrical installation without the need for additional adapters or transformers. The COB LED light sources are included, so there is no need to find anything separately before installing.

In terms of combinations, the matte white of the body is a neutral finish that does not impose a specific style. It works well alongside other white luminaires from the same line to create continuous lighting along a facade. It also works well as a standalone piece at entrances or access points. If the surroundings feature aluminum or steel elements, the finish of the wall light maintains visual coherence effortlessly.

This wall light does not include a motion sensor or presence detector. If that type of control is needed, an external sensor switch compatible with the installation would need to be added. Likewise, it does not run on solar energy, as it requires a mains electrical connection.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the COB LED light sources or do they need to be purchased separately?

The light sources are included. The wall light already has the 2x3W COB LEDs with a color temperature of 4000K fitted, so it can be installed and used directly without purchasing anything additional.

Does this wall light work with any standard domestic electrical installation?

Yes. The operating voltage is 100V to 240V, making it compatible with standard electrical installations in Spain and in most countries. No additional transformer or adapter is required.

Does the lamp emit light in only one direction or in other directions as well?

This wall light directs the beam of light toward the upper and lower parts of the wall. It does not illuminate to the sides or directly to the front, which allows a vertical decorative effect to be created on the facade or wall where it is installed.
