Overview

The KOV wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for outdoor use. It works well at home entrances, facades, covered terraces, and open-air corridors where directed and controlled lighting is needed. Its round shape and white finish allow it to blend effortlessly into walls of different styles, from modern constructions to more understated exteriors.

What sets this wall light apart is the ability to choose between upward, downward, or bidirectional illumination. The 14º emission angle per outlet concentrates the light beam precisely, which is useful when you want to highlight a specific area of the wall or guide movement along a path. The COB LED light source is integrated inside the body, preventing direct glare.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long track record in the lighting industry. Their outdoor products combine technical criteria with refined design, built to last and perform well under real conditions of use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall surface is clean, dry, and level. It is fixed directly to the wall using the included anchors. As an outdoor lamp, it is advisable to ensure that the wiring is protected and that the connection is carried out by a qualified electrician. Always respect the indicated voltage of 220V-240V.

To clean the surface of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the white aluminum finish. Periodically check the fixing points to make sure the wall light remains securely attached to the wall. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected.

Design and use

The KOV wall light has a circular aluminum body with a diameter of 80 mm and a height of 212 mm. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for spaces where a large-volume luminaire is not desired, but functional and well-directed lighting is. The white finish integrates easily into light-colored facades, whitewashed walls, or surfaces painted in neutral tones.

The 2700K color temperature produces a warm light, close to traditional incandescent light. This type of light is pleasant in outdoor transit or relaxation areas, such as a terrace or the entrance of a home. It does not generate the cold or clinical feel of some higher color temperature lamps, making it suitable for environments where visual warmth is sought at nightfall.

The integrated COB LED light source is recessed inside the body of the wall light. This means there is no direct exposure of the light point, which reduces glare when someone is nearby or looking toward the lamp. In a garden or patio where people move around or sit, this feature improves comfort.

The direct and indirect lighting system allows the light to be directed according to need. It can be installed with the beam pointing upward to illuminate the wall above the fixture, downward to mark a path or staircase, or in both directions for a more enveloping effect. This flexibility means the same fixture can serve different functions depending on how it is positioned.

The wall light can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, expanding its range of uses. On a facade it can be placed vertically next to a door, and on a low garden wall it can go horizontally aligned with other decorative elements. Visual coherence is maintained in both cases thanks to its clean geometric design.

The aluminum body includes a drainage system that prevents water from accumulating inside the wall light. In outdoor areas exposed to rain, this constructive detail helps extend the lifespan of the luminaire. Aluminum is also a material that does not oxidize easily and maintains its appearance with little maintenance.

In a garden with vegetation, the white wall light contrasts well with dark surfaces or natural stone. On an urban terrace with concrete or wood flooring, the understated design of the wall light does not distract or overload the overall look. It can also be combined with other luminaires from the same line to create continuous lighting along a wall or path.

The motion sensor is not included as standard, but the installation can be integrated into a circuit with an external detector if automated switching is desired. In areas with infrequent foot traffic, combining this wall light with a motion sensor is a practical solution that reduces consumption and adds security without needing to replace the luminaire.
