Overview

DUNE is an outdoor wall light designed to mark access points, illuminate entrances, and signal pathways on façades, walls, and open-air areas. Its round format and matte white finish make it discreet, without losing presence on the wall where it is installed. It is a lamp designed for outdoor use, where what matters most is that it works well year after year without complications.

What sets it apart from other similar models is the switch integrated into the body itself. With that selector, you can switch between four different color temperatures: 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, and 4000K. This allows the light to be adapted according to the space or the function the wall light serves in each case.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Its outdoor products combine durable materials with technical solutions designed for residential and professional use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall where it is to be mounted is solid and that the electrical connection box is correctly recessed. As it is a surface-mounted outdoor luminaire, it is advisable for the electrician to check the condition of the wiring before connecting the lamp. Fix the body to the wall with anchors appropriate for the type of surface, whether brick, concrete, or render.

To clean the aluminum body, use a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. Periodically check that there is no accumulation of dirt on the diffuser, as this can affect light distribution.

Design and use

The DUNE wall light has a body made of aluminum with a matte white finish. It is a material that tolerates temperature variations, humidity, and prolonged exposure to the elements well. The diffuser is made of transparent PC, which allows the light from the LED source to come out cleanly and directly without distortion.

Its dimensions are compact: 100 x 100 mm base and only 35 mm in depth. This makes it ideal for walls where available space is limited or where a high-volume element is not desired. Despite its small size, the lamp fulfills its signaling and orientation function well in entrances, outdoor corridors, and gardens.

The terrace, the entrance of a home, or the side of a garage are places where this type of wall light fits effortlessly. It also works well in garden areas where it is necessary to mark a path or highlight an architectural element without resorting to high-power lighting. Its 3W source is sufficient to guide the eye and provide a clear visual reference in low-light conditions.

One of the most practical features of the DUNE model is the ability to select the color temperature directly from the integrated switch. The 2200K option gives a very warm light, similar to sunset sunlight, suitable for environments where a calm atmosphere is sought. The 2700K is also warm but slightly brighter. The 3000K and 4000K options offer a more neutral or cool light, useful when the priority is functional visibility at entrances or passageways. This flexibility allows the same wall light to be used in different contexts without the need to change the luminaire.

The wall light is installed directly on the wall, which simplifies both mounting and subsequent maintenance. Being a stable fixing surface, the lamp remains well anchored without movement. The motion sensor is not integrated into this model, so activation is managed from the existing electrical circuit. If an external detector is desired in the installation, it is possible to add one from the electrical panel or with an independent motion sensor placed on the same line.

The white color of the body makes it easy to integrate into light-colored façades, whitewashed walls, or walls painted in neutral tones. It also contrasts well with dark surfaces or natural stone. The matte finish avoids excessive glare that can sometimes be bothersome in outdoor areas with direct sunlight.

For terrace areas with a modern and clean design, the square and flat format of the DUNE fits without distorting the visual line of the space. In more rustic settings, the white can be equally appropriate if the rest of the environment maintains a light or neutral palette.

Questions and answers

Does the DUNE wall light include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp includes the integrated SMD LED. It is not necessary to purchase any additional light source to install and put it into operation.

How is the color temperature changed on the DUNE model?

The wall light incorporates a physical switch on the aluminum body. With that selector, you choose between the four available temperatures: 2200K, 2700K, 3200K, or 4000K. It does not require any application or remote control.

Does the DUNE wall light have an integrated motion sensor?

No. The DUNE model does not incorporate a motion sensor. If you want to activate the luminaire through presence detection, it is necessary to install an external detector on the same electrical line.
