Overview

DORO is a wall light designed for outdoor use. It is installed directly on the façade, at the entrance of a house, next to a garage door or on a terrace. It projects light on both sides, making it especially useful when you need to illuminate both the wall and the space in front of it.

The lamp has IP65 protection, meaning it withstands direct rain and dust ingress without issue. No additional cover is required. The body is made of aluminium and the diffuser of prismatic glass, giving it a clean, uniform appearance on any façade.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in indoor and outdoor luminaires. Their products are aimed at those seeking lasting quality without resorting to overloaded designs.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the exterior wall is dry and that there is no accumulated moisture in the fixing area. The lamp is fixed directly to the wall using the included anchor points. Make sure the wiring is properly protected and that the connection is carried out by a qualified electrician. Do not install the wall light on unstable surfaces or those with visible cracks.

To keep the fixture in good condition, occasionally clean the aluminium body with a damp cloth and no abrasive products. The glass diffuser may accumulate dust over time; a gentle clean is enough to maintain light quality. Always disconnect the power before any work on the lamp.

Design and use

The DORO wall light has an elongated, compact shape that fits well in both narrow entrances and walls with more space available. Its 500 mm length allows light to be distributed along the wall without creating marked shadow areas. The depth of just 75 mm means it does not protrude too far from the wall plane, which is appreciated in access areas with frequent foot traffic.

The aluminium body in a matt white finish gives it a neutral appearance. It does not draw too much attention during the day and, when switched on, the lamp fulfils its function without unnecessary prominence. This type of finish holds up well against prolonged sun exposure and the temperature changes typical of outdoor environments.

The prismatic glass diffuser works well with the 3000K colour temperature: a warm light that is easy on the eyes and suitable for passageways or outdoor rest areas. It is not a cold warehouse light, but something closer to the indoor light that many people also prefer for their terrace or garden.

The projection of light on both sides is one of the most practical aspects of this wall light. Rather than concentrating all the flux in one direction, the fixture distributes the illumination both upwards and downwards along the wall. This is useful, for example, when installed next to a door: it illuminates the entrance area while also highlighting the volume of the façade.

IP65 protection ensures that neither rain nor dust will affect the lamp's operation under normal use. This is a specification designed for outdoor luminaires that will be exposed to real weather conditions, without needing to be covered or removed depending on the season.

The wall light operates with SMD LED technology and comes with the light source already included. There is no need to search for compatible bulbs or worry about the fitting type. Installation starts directly from connecting the wiring and fixing the wall light to the wall.

As for the spaces where it fits well: the entrance to a detached house, the side of a garage, the perimeter of a terrace, access to a garden or any outdoor area where a functional, tidy-looking light point is needed. It can also be combined with other wall lights of the same model along a façade to achieve continuous illumination without installing larger luminaires.

It is not a lamp with a motion sensor or integrated presence detector, but it can be connected to external control systems if the installer considers it appropriate. Likewise, although it does not incorporate a solar panel, its low consumption means it works well within efficient installations.

Questions and answers

Does the lamp include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The DORO wall light includes the SMD LED light source. No additional component needs to be purchased for it to work.

What level of protection does the wall light offer against rain and dust?

The fixture has IP65 certification, which protects it against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor installation without additional protection.

Does the light project in a single direction or does it cover more than one side?

The DORO wall light emits light on both sides. This allows it to illuminate both the upper and lower areas of the wall where it is installed, without the need to combine multiple luminaires.
