Overview

The FARO GEISER 260 is a recessed LED fixture designed to be installed in the ground in outdoor spaces. Its main function is to guide movement: marking paths in gardens, delimiting circulation areas in built-up zones, or marking the edges of a patio or facade. It is not a general lighting spotlight, but a signaling luminaire that provides directed, precise light exactly where it is needed.

One of its most useful features is IP67 protection, which makes it suitable even in environments with salt water, such as properties near the sea. The ANTI-GLARE accessory prevents glare, so the light guides without causing discomfort. In addition, it can be oriented once installed, allowing the angle to be adjusted without needing to change the entire installation.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Its outdoor catalog combines technical durability with careful design, intended to integrate well in both domestic settings and larger-scale projects.

Installation and specifications

To install this recessed floor fixture, it is necessary to prepare an appropriate installation box suited to the equipment's dimensions. As an outdoor luminaire with floor mounting, it is advisable to verify that the substrate is stable and that the surface finish of the floor allows for a firm recess. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified professional, ensuring that the cables are protected against moisture. Since the product is intended for surfaces such as gardens, patios, or facades, it is important to observe the minimum safety distances from water sources or irrigation systems.

For maintenance, simply clean the outer surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. The 316L stainless steel and aluminum do not require special products, but abrasives that may scratch the satin finish should be avoided. The diffuser glass can be cleaned with a dry cloth to keep light transmission in optimal condition.

Design and use

The GEISER 260 has a body constructed from 316L stainless steel combined with aluminum. This choice of materials is not coincidental: 316L steel is especially resistant to corrosion in salt-laden environments, making it suitable for installations near the sea or in coastal areas. The satin stainless finish gives it a clean and discreet appearance that integrates well into stone, concrete, or outdoor wood surfaces.

The transparent glass diffuser allows the light from the COB LED spotlight to emerge in a direct and controlled manner. The 3000K color temperature produces a warm light that is pleasant to the eye and does not distort the natural tones of the surroundings. This is especially useful in gardens with vegetation, where a cool light could reduce the natural feel of the space.

As a recessed floor fixture, this spotlight disappears visually during the day. There are no protruding elements that break the line of the patio or garden. When night falls, the lighting appears integrated into the floor, creating light paths that guide movement without the need for posts or lampposts. This effect is very common in garden entrances, pathway edges, hotel terraces, or building common areas, although it also works perfectly in a private residence.

The ability to orient the luminaire once installed is a practical advantage. If after installation you decide to change the lighting angle — for example, to highlight a plant feature or redirect the light toward a staircase — it can be done without additional construction work. The included ANTI-GLARE accessory is another relevant point: in areas with frequent foot traffic, a light that shines directly into the ground is uncomfortable. With this accessory, the spotlight directs the light without generating that unpleasant effect.

The GEISER 260 also fits well in projects where visual cohesion is sought. By recessing several spotlights along a garden path or on the sides of a terrace, a linear and orderly illumination is achieved that defines the space without overwhelming it. The same logic applies to facades, where this recessed fixture can mark the outline of a built area or highlight the base of a wall.

For those who live near the sea or in areas with high ambient humidity, having a product certified IP67 makes a real difference. That protection ensures that neither water nor solid particles compromise the equipment's operation over time. No special precautions are needed during rainy seasons, nor is it necessary to remove the fixture in winter.

Questions and answers

Can the GEISER 260 be installed in areas near the sea or with exposure to salt water?

Yes. The body is made from 316L stainless steel, a material especially resistant to salt corrosion. It also has IP67 protection, making it suitable for coastal environments and areas with high humidity or direct water exposure.

Can the lighting angle be changed after it is installed in the ground?

Yes. The recessed fixture allows the light to be oriented once installed, without needing to remove the spotlight or modify the installation. This makes it easy to adjust the direction of the lighting according to the needs of the space.

What function does the ANTI-GLARE accessory included with the product serve?

The ANTI-GLARE controls the light distribution to prevent the spotlight from shining directly into the eyes of people passing through the area. It is especially useful in pedestrian pathways, gardens, and terraces where visual comfort is important.
