Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This lantern is mounted on an exterior wall by direct wall fixing. Before installing, check that the surface is firm and can support the weight of the assembly. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, following current regulations. The working voltage is 100V-240V, compatible with the standard electrical grid. The COB LED light source is already included, so it does not need to be purchased separately.

Use and maintenance. Clean the surface of the lantern with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish or the transparent polycarbonate diffuser. Although the IP65 rating protects against water, avoid directing pressurised water jets directly onto the lamp. Periodically check the anchors to make sure they remain in good condition.

Design and use

The SCREEN collection starts from a clear technical premise: to offer an outdoor lantern that works well in real conditions, without the need for additional protection or complicated installations. The result is a surface luminaire with a compact profile, 250 mm in height and 160 mm in depth, that takes up little space on the visual plane of the wall and does not interfere with the surroundings.

The aluminium body provides structural strength without adding unnecessary weight. It is a material that does not rust, does not deform with temperature changes and keeps its colour stable for years. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser lets light through without distortion, making good use of the performance of the installed LED. The combination of both materials makes the lantern robust while remaining easy to handle during installation.

The colour temperature of 3000K produces a warm light, similar to classic incandescent. In a garden, that tone helps to create a more welcoming atmosphere as night falls, without the coldness of white or neutral lights. A light post with a similar temperature in another area of the garden can complement this lamp well and maintain the visual coherence of the space.

The 360º option is one of the most practical aspects of this model. When installed on a post or in a central location, the illumination is distributed equally in all directions. This avoids the need to combine several units to cover a circular area, which is common in entrances, garden roundabouts or wide passageways. In linear wall installations, the distribution also covers the plane well without concentrating the beam at a single point.

The IK10 rating deserves a separate mention. Not all outdoor products reach that level of mechanical protection. In spaces where accidental impacts may occur, such as play areas, garage entrances or communal areas, that figure makes a real difference compared to models with lower protection. The lantern will not give way under a sudden impact.

As for the context of use, this lamp fits well in private gardens, interior courtyards with outdoor access, covered or open terraces, and also in semi-public installations such as parks or communal areas of buildings. The dark grey finish does not draw excessive attention during the day and integrates easily with stone, concrete, exposed brick or metal-clad facades.

If the same space has ground-level bollards, a central post or hanging lanterns, the neutral tone of the body and the warm 3000K light make it possible to combine different elements without clashing. The lamp does not visually dominate, but does its job well when light is needed.

The 360º distribution refers to the light emission angle of this lamp, not to a specific type of support. It is installed like any standard wall-mounted fixture, fixed directly to the wall. The symmetrical illumination it provides does not require any modifications to the installation.

How much does the lantern weigh and is there anything to consider for fixing?

The net weight is 2.38 kg. Before installing the support post or carrying out the wall fixing, it is advisable to ensure that the surface is solid and the anchors are properly sized for that weight, especially on cladded walls or lightweight materials.
