Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. Before mounting the applique, make sure the wall can support the intended fixing system. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Cut the power before making any connections. Verify that the wall wiring is compatible with the indicated voltage: 220V–240V. The lantern is fixed directly onto the vertical surface; check the leveling before tightening the final anchors.

Use and maintenance. To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid aggressive chemical products on the aluminum body or the polycarbonate diffuser. Do not disassemble the luminaire while the power is connected. Although the IP65 rating protects against rain, do not submerge the lantern in water or expose it to direct pressurized jets.

Design and use

The RUSH applique from FARO is designed to work in real outdoor conditions. The body combines aluminum and polycarbonate, two materials that hold up well against temperature changes, humidity, and prolonged sun exposure. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through without altering its tone, so the 3000K temperature reaches the ground and nearby surfaces exactly as it leaves the LED source.

The 14W COB LED produces a warm light that integrates well in gardens with vegetation, on terraces with wooden furniture, or in patios with a simpler style. Unlike cooler tones, 3000K does not generate that industrial coldness that can sometimes feel uncomfortable in domestic spaces. The lantern illuminates without drawing too much attention to itself, making it easy to combine with other lights or with ground-level bollards.

The 360º option distributes light symmetrically. This means the lantern does not project marked shadows to one side, but instead spreads the halo evenly. For a garden entrance, a terrace side, or access to a patio, this behavior is useful: it leaves no dark areas between light points and avoids harsh contrasts.

The dark grey finish works well on light-colored facades as well as on stone or brick walls. It is not a color that ages visually quickly or that stands out excessively during the day. The applique has a compact profile — 250 mm high and 160 mm deep — that does not take up too much space on the wall and does not interfere with passage.

The CASAMBI version allows the lamp to be integrated into a wireless control system. This facilitates the management of multiple lights from an app, without the need to install a centralized control unit or additional wiring for control. For those who want to adjust lighting levels from inside the house or schedule on/off times, this option considerably simplifies the process.

As for durability, IK10 is the highest level on the mechanical impact protection scale. In a domestic garden or at a patio entrance, this level of protection covers everyday situations such as contact with tools, accidental impact from a ball, or contact with branches. The IP65 protects against rain and dust ingress, allowing the lantern to function without constant maintenance even in humid climates.

This luminaire fits well in projects where a neat and stable result is sought. Alongside ground-level bollards or an entrance post, the RUSH applique forms part of a coherent lighting system. It requires no additional accessories — the LED source is included — and installation requires no special elements beyond standard wall-mounting anchors.
