Overview

RUSH is a technical outdoor lighting collection by FARO. This model is a wall-mounted surface light designed for outdoor areas where reliable, well-distributed light is needed. It works well in gardens, terraces, private patios, and public spaces such as parks or building entrances.

The lamp is built from aluminum and transparent polycarbonate, two materials that hold up well in outdoor conditions without losing their presence. The dark gray body does not draw too much attention during the day, but when switched on, the warm 2700K light defines the space well. The 360º version distributes illumination symmetrically around the lantern, which is useful when you want to cover the entire area without dark spots. The wide variant, on the other hand, projects light over a greater distance from the post or wall where it is mounted.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in designing luminaires for residential and professional use. Their products combine technical materials with installation solutions designed to make the work easier for both professionals and end users.

Installation and specifications

For installation, this lamp is fixed directly onto an exterior vertical surface — a wall, a post, or the side of a structure. Before mounting the lantern, check that the surface is solid and dry. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as the wiring is integrated into the wall. Make sure to cut the power before starting any work. The lamp operates at standard mains voltage (220V–240V), so no additional transformers are required.

For maintenance, clean the aluminum body with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser may accumulate dust or dirt outdoors — simply wipe it with a soft cloth and water. Do not disassemble the unit for cleaning unless strictly necessary.

Design and use

The RUSH wall light by FARO is an outdoor lamp that combines technical durability with a discreet design. The body is made of aluminum, a lightweight yet durable material that handles temperature changes and continuous outdoor exposure well. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows the LED light to pass through without color filters, maintaining the warm 2700K tone that characterizes this light source.

The lantern incorporates a factory-fitted 14 W COB LED source, ready to connect. This type of LED concentrates multiple emission points on a single surface, producing uniform light without hot spots or uneven shadows. In a garden or patio, this translates into illumination that covers the ground and walkways well without creating unpleasant contrasts.

The RUSH collection offers two variants that address different needs. The 360º option emits light symmetrically in all directions, ideal when the lantern is mounted on a central post or at a point where you want to illuminate all around without favoring any particular direction. The wide variant concentrates the light beam and projects it over a greater distance, which is useful for entrances, long pathways, or facades where the area to be illuminated is far from the mounting point.

The IP65 protection rating guarantees that the luminaire is sealed against dust ingress and can withstand direct water jets, making it suitable for areas exposed to rain without the need for additional protection. The IK10 impact resistance rating is the highest level in this classification, meaning the lantern can withstand considerable impacts without the housing or diffuser being damaged. This is a relevant detail in high-use spaces such as parks, communal gardens, or areas with frequent foot traffic.

The dark gray finish integrates the lamp well into brick, concrete, or dark-clad facades. On terraces or patios with modern-lined furniture, the compact 250 mm tall body is not intrusive. In more natural gardens, the neutral aluminum tone also blends in with the vegetation or ground bollards that may accompany it.

The CASAMBI version allows this luminaire to be integrated into wireless control systems compatible with that platform, making it easy to manage the lighting from a mobile device without the need for additional control wiring.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between the 360º option and the wide variant of this lamp?

The 360º option distributes light symmetrically in all directions, which is useful when the lantern is in a central position or you want to illuminate equally around the mounting point. The wide variant projects the beam over a greater distance, suitable for illuminating long pathways or areas far from the post or wall.

Is the LED light source already included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp includes the factory-fitted 14 W COB LED source. There is no need to purchase it separately or carry out any additional bulb installation before mounting the wall light.

What level of protection does this wall light offer against rain and impacts?

The lantern has IP65 certification, which protects against dust ingress and direct water jets. It also has IK10 impact resistance, the highest level in this classification, making it suitable for high-use outdoor areas.
