Overview

The FARO outdoor pendant lamp is designed for those who seek functional lighting in open spaces without sacrificing a polished appearance. It is installed on the ceiling of a porch, terrace, covered patio, or house entrance, and withstands the conditions typical of outdoor use. The steel body with a rust brown finish gives it a character reminiscent of the past, while the transparent bubble glass diffuser softens the light and adds a delicate touch to the whole.

What sets this lamp apart is the combination of materials: metal crafted with a finish that evokes a rustic feel and blown glass with a bubble texture. The result is a piece that fits into classic settings but also into outdoor spaces with a more timeless design. It does not need to be updated with each trend because its form does not depend on fashions.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in luminaires for both indoor and outdoor use. Its products combine design and durability, with the aim of ensuring the lamp withstands the test of time under real conditions of use.

Installation and specifications

Before hanging the lamp, check that the anchor point on the ceiling has sufficient capacity to support the weight of the assembly. The fixture must be installed on a firm surface, whether concrete, brick, or structural wood. As this is an outdoor lamp, verify that the wiring reaches the installation point with adequate protection for outdoor use. If you have any doubts about the electrical wiring, it is most advisable to have an electrician handle the final connection. Remember that the E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately before installation.

To keep the steel body in good condition, clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the rust brown finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth and, if necessary, with water and neutral soap. Dry thoroughly before turning the lamp on again. Periodically check that the ceiling fixture has not loosened, especially after periods of strong wind or heavy rain.

Design and use

This outdoor pendant lamp combines two materials that work well together: the steel body, with a rust brown finish, and the transparent glass with a bubble texture of the diffuser. The steel provides solidity and an appearance reminiscent of something rustic, like a classic lantern. The glass, on the other hand, adds visual lightness and lets light through softly, without blocking or distorting it excessively.

The rust brown finish is not merely an aesthetic choice. It is a tone that ages well visually and integrates easily into garden, terrace, or patio environments where there is wood, stone, or vegetation. It does not draw excessive attention; it simply accompanies the space.

The bubble glass diffuser creates a subtle effect when the lamp is on. The light disperses through the texture of the glass, generating a warm and uniform atmosphere. There is no direct glare, which is especially pleasant in spaces where one sits for a while, such as a terrace with a table or an entrance porch.

With a total height of 1080 mm and a diameter of 345 mm, it has a clear visual presence without appearing disproportionate. It works well hung from medium-height ceilings, both in a covered porch and under a pergola with a solid roof. It can also be placed in an outdoor gallery or in an entrance with a roof, where the lamp remains protected from direct rain.

This luminaire accepts an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W. This allows you to choose the color temperature according to the ambiance you want to achieve: a warmer light for a living terrace, or something more neutral for a practical entrance. Compatibility with voltages between 100 V and 240 V makes it suitable for standard installations in Spain and in other countries.

The timeless design of this lamp means it fits into very different styles. In a garden with abundant vegetation, the oxidized tone of the metal blends into the surroundings. In a Mediterranean-style patio, the glass and metal are reminiscent of traditional lanterns. In a more contemporary house entrance, the assembly maintains a discreet profile that does not distort the overall style. It is the type of piece that creates no visual conflict with its surroundings.

Questions and answers

Is the bubble glass diffuser resistant to outdoor use?

The diffuser is made of glass, a material that withstands the typical temperature changes found in covered outdoor spaces. It is recommended to install the lamp in areas protected from direct rain, such as a porch, covered terrace, or covered patio, to extend the useful life of the assembly.

What type of bulb do I need to buy for this lamp?

The lamp uses an E27 socket, compatible with most LED bulbs on the market. The maximum accepted power is 15 W. The bulb is not included, so it must be purchased separately before installation.

Does the suspension cable allow the hanging height of the lamp to be adjusted?

The total height indicated in the specifications is 1080 mm. If you need to adapt it to a lower ceiling, consult the instructions included in the packaging, which indicate whether the cable allows length adjustment.
