Installation and specifications

The stake is fixed directly into the ground, so it is advisable to plan the cable routing before placing it, especially if the ground is already finished. On hard surfaces such as compacted gravel or firm soil, installation is straightforward. On paved surfaces, preliminary work may be required to conceal the cable.

The stainless steel body withstands outdoor conditions well, but it should be cleaned from time to time with a damp cloth to remove accumulated dust or dirt. The opal glass diffuser can be cleaned with water and a soft cloth, without abrasive products. The use of solvents or abrasive pads that could scratch the surface is not recommended.

Design and use

CUCA 300 belongs to that category of outdoor luminaires that do not try to dominate the space, but to complete it. It is a ground beacon with a distinctly architectural design: straight lines, sober materials, absence of ornamentation. The result is a ground spotlight that fits equally well in a contemporary garden or in a carefully finished entrance with natural stone paving.

The body is made of stainless steel with a matte black finish. This material withstands continuous outdoor exposure well, without losing its appearance over time. The black colour allows the structure to blend in with the ground, vegetation or any dark paving. During the day, the stake is barely noticeable. At night, it disappears completely, and what remains is the halo of light projected by the opal diffuser onto the ground or the immediate surroundings.

The opal glass diffuser distributes light evenly, without creating glare or bright spots. The colour temperature of 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a candle or a traditional incandescent bulb. This tone is particularly pleasant in nocturnal outdoor settings because it does not distort the colours of plants, wood or stone, and creates a calm atmosphere without feeling cold or artificial.

Questions and answers

Does this stake light work when connected directly to the domestic 220V mains supply?

No. CUCA 300 operates at 24V DC, so it requires an external transformer to convert the mains voltage to 24V. That transformer is not included and must be purchased separately depending on the number of units to be installed on the same circuit.

Is the opal glass diffuser resistant to impact or to the temperature variations typical of outdoor use?

The diffuser is designed for outdoor use and withstands normal weather conditions. However, glass remains a more delicate material than plastic when subjected to direct impacts, so it is advisable to avoid placing the luminaire in areas with heavy traffic or where it may receive accidental knocks.

How many CUCA 300 units can be connected in series to the same 24V transformer?

It depends on the power of the transformer. Each unit consumes 3W, so with a 30W transformer, up to 10 stakes could be connected, for example. The total load must be calculated before installation to avoid exceeding the equipment's capacity.
