Installation and specifications

To install this stake in the ground, a 24V low-voltage installation is required. Before placing it, verify that the compatible transformer or controller is correctly sized for the number of fixtures you plan to connect on the same circuit. Plan the cable routing in advance, leaving the wiring protected underground. The fixture is secured directly into the ground, so it is advisable to choose the final location before proceeding, especially if there are roots or gravel layers that may affect the anchoring depth.

The aluminum body requires no special maintenance, but it should be cleaned periodically with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and organic residue. Do not use abrasive products or solvents on the surface. If the stake is near areas with automatic irrigation, ensure that the electrical connections are properly protected. For any work on the wiring, always disconnect the power supply before handling the installation.

Design and use

The CLAP 630 stake is made of aluminum with a black finish, a material that combines structural lightness with resistance to the conditions typical of outdoor use. Aluminum does not rust like iron, maintains its shape under temperature changes, and has a discreet presence that does not visually compete with the natural surroundings. The black color reinforces that invisible profile: during the day, the stake blends in among plants and borders without standing out; at night, only the light is visible.

The light source is an integrated 6W COB LED with a color temperature of 3000K. That warm tone is the most suitable for gardens and terraces because it naturally reproduces the colors of plants, wood, and stone. It does not flatten or distort; it simply illuminates in a way similar to incandescent light, but with the energy efficiency and durability of LED.

The 38° beam angle allows the light to be concentrated in a specific area. This is what makes scenic accenting possible: illuminating the base of a tree, outlining the profile of a shrub, or directing light toward a decorative element without it spreading across the entire ground. That precision is what distinguishes an accent spotlight from a signaling bollard. Bollards disperse light in all directions to mark a path; this spotlight concentrates it to create a visual point of interest.

The operating voltage is 24VDC, integrating it into low-voltage installations. This has practical implications: it is safer to handle the wiring, allows the use of compact transformers, and makes it easier to extend the system if you want to add more lights to the garden or patio in the future. On a terrace with a pergola, for example, it can be planted among large planters to add visual depth to the overall space without needing to install ceiling spotlights.

Does the CLAP 630 stake include the light source, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source is included as standard. No additional components are needed for the spotlight to work, except for the 24VDC transformer or controller that manages the outdoor circuit.

Can it be connected directly to the domestic 230V electrical mains?

No. The CLAP 630 stake operates at 24VDC, so it requires a suitable transformer between the mains and the installation. Connecting it directly to 230V would damage the unit and void any warranty.

Is it possible to add the anti-glare visor after installation, or does it need to be fitted from the start?

The anti-glare visor ref. 75714-2 is an optional accessory that can be incorporated at any time, both during the initial installation and afterwards. It does not affect the mounting of the stake in the ground.
