Overview

This wall light is designed for those looking for a functional and well-resolved lamp for the exterior of the home. It mounts directly onto the wall and fits well on terraces, gardens, entrances, and façades. The transparent glass diffuser lets the light source be seen as it is, without filtering or distorting it, giving a sense of visual clarity in any environment.

The body is made of die-cast aluminium with a dark grey finish. It is a material that withstands outdoor conditions well and requires no special maintenance over time. The design is contemporary, without ornamentation, with straight lines that effortlessly adapt to modern façades or open-air spaces with a more neutral style.

This wall light was designed by Alex and Manel Lluscà, a duo recognised in the field of industrial design. FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in interior and exterior luminaires. Their products combine aesthetic judgement with specific technical solutions, designed for everyday use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall where it will be fixed is dry, free of accumulated moisture, and has a stable surface. Fixing is done directly onto the wall with anchors suited to the type of support. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. The GU10 LED lamp is not included, so it is advisable to have it on hand before starting the assembly. Check that your installation voltage is compatible with the indicated range.

For maintenance, clean the aluminium body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth to maintain its transparency. Do not handle the lamp while the installation is connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The wall light integrates into the wall without protruding excessively. With a depth of just 100 mm and a height of 150 mm, it takes up little space and does not interfere with foot traffic or other elements in the surroundings. It is a lamp designed for spaces where compact size matters, such as narrow entrances, outdoor corridors, or walls with little clearance.

Die-cast aluminium provides rigidity and stability. It is a common material in exterior luminaires for its durability and because it adds no unnecessary weight to the installation. The dark grey finish works well on light-coloured walls and also on stone, concrete, or treated wood cladding. It does not draw excessive attention, but it does not go unnoticed either.

The transparent glass diffuser is one of the most distinctive elements of this lamp. Unlike opaline diffusers, this one allows the bulb inside to be seen, giving a more direct and clean appearance. The light it projects is clear and undistorted, suitable for illuminating walkways or highlighting specific elements in a garden or terrace.

The use of a GU10 LED light source allows for good control of energy consumption. This type of bulb is easy to find and replace when necessary. Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V means the wall light can be installed in different contexts without additional adapters.

As for the design, Alex and Manel Lluscà approached this lamp with practical judgement. There are no superfluous decorative elements. Form follows function, and the result is a wall light that coexists well with different styles: from a contemporary façade to a patio with vegetation or a terrace with simple-lined furniture.

It is also suitable for garage entrances, side accesses, or any area of the garden that needs directional wall lighting. If there are several points to illuminate, luminaires from this range can be installed in series to give visual coherence to the whole. The dark grey finish creates continuity when several units are combined on the same façade or wall.

The net weight of 0.55 kg makes handling during installation straightforward. No special wall reinforcement is required, provided the surface is solid. The individual box with a gross weight of 0.65 kg indicates that the packaging is compact and easy to handle from the outset.
