Installation and specifications

To install this wall light on an exterior wall, an existing electrical point in the wall is required. Fixing is done directly onto the vertical surface. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately: check that the wattage does not exceed the indicated 15 W.

Design and use

The FARO outdoor wall light combines materials that work well together: die-cast aluminium provides structural solidity, and the opal glass diffuser softens the light emitted by the source, avoiding the bright-spot effect found in some wall lights with transparent glass.

The dark grey aluminium body has a discreet presence. It is not a piece that seeks to stand out, but rather integrates easily with different types of facade: render, exposed brick, stone or composite panels. During the day it is barely noticeable. When the lamp is switched on, it does its job without being intrusive.

The dimensions of the wall light — 280 mm in length, 70 mm in height and 120 mm in depth — make it suitable for spaces with little margin. It fits perfectly on either side of a front door, in an outdoor corridor or under a canopy. It does not take up too much space either visually or in terms of depth from the wall.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb allows you to choose the colour temperature to suit the surroundings. In a garden with vegetation, warm light usually works well. On a more contemporary or industrial facade, neutral light may be a better fit. In both cases, the opal glass diffuser softens the source and spreads the light around the surroundings without creating harsh shadows.

The light source is not included. The wall light is compatible with an E27 screw cap bulb in LED format, with a maximum wattage of 15 W. You can choose the colour temperature that best suits the environment where you install the lamp.

Does the opal glass diffuser affect the amount of light emitted by the lamp?

The opal diffuser slightly reduces the intensity of the light source in order to distribute light more evenly. This eliminates the direct glare effect and causes the light to spread more softly over the wall and surroundings, which is especially useful at entrances and passageways.

Does the dark grey aluminium body retain its colour over time and with sun exposure?

Die-cast aluminium is a material that does not deteriorate easily with sun exposure or humidity. The dark grey finish is applied to withstand outdoor use, although periodic cleaning with a damp cloth helps keep the wall light in good condition for longer.
