Installation and specifications

For installation, a wall outlet prepared for outdoor luminaires is required. Before mounting the wall light, ensure that the electrical circuit has been switched off at the distribution board. The fixture is attached directly to the wall using the included anchors. If it is to be installed in an area exposed to wind or rain, check that the seal is properly adjusted. The position — vertical or horizontal, facing upward or downward — is decided before the final assembly.

For maintenance, simply clean the surface of the wall light with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents on the white aluminum finish. Periodically check that there is no accumulation of dirt in the drainage system, especially if the lamp is exposed to leaves or dust. Do not handle the light source while the circuit is connected.

Design and use

The KOV wall light has a body made of aluminum with a white finish. Aluminum is a material that handles temperature changes and humidity well, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use. The white color of the wall light allows it to be integrated effortlessly into light-colored facades, whitewashed walls, or surfaces in neutral tones. It also contrasts well against darker surfaces if that visual effect is desired.

The light source is a 2x6 W COB LED with a color temperature of 3000K. This tone produces a warm light, close to traditional incandescent light, which is pleasant at entrances, gardens, or nighttime walkways. Being recessed inside the body of the wall light, the lamp is not directly exposed to view, which reduces visual discomfort when someone passes close to the fixture.

One of the most practical aspects of this wall light is the ability to choose between two beam angles: 14° and 23°. The narrower angle concentrates the light beam into a tight strip, useful for highlighting a specific element of the facade or visually guiding a path. The 23° angle distributes the light somewhat more broadly, which is more suitable for general illumination of a walkway. Each angle is applied independently to the upper and lower opening, allowing them to be combined according to the specific need.

The lamp also supports unidirectional or bidirectional configuration. If only upward illumination is needed, for example to highlight a wall or an architectural feature, it can be installed that way. If the situation requires illuminating in both directions, the wall light allows this without any modification to the electrical installation.

Can the KOV wall light be installed horizontally as well as vertically?

Yes. The wall light's design allows it to be mounted both vertically and horizontally on the wall, depending on the orientation that best suits each installation.

What is the difference between the 14° and 23° angles available on this wall light?

The 14° angle produces a more concentrated beam, suitable for directing light toward a specific point. The 23° angle slightly broadens the distribution, which is more useful for generally illuminating a walkway. Each opening acts independently on the upper and lower part of the fixture.

Does the lamp include a motion sensor?

No. The KOV wall light does not incorporate a motion sensor or integrated detector. If automatic activation is needed, an external compatible sensor would need to be added to the installation.
