Overview

The FARO KOV wall light is a lamp designed for outdoor use. It mounts directly onto the wall and provides controlled illumination upward, downward, or in both directions simultaneously. It is a practical option for house entrances, facades, terraces, and outdoor spaces where directed and stable lighting is needed.

The light source is integrated and recessed into the body of the fixture, which prevents direct glare. The result is comfortable light that illuminates without causing discomfort. Its aluminum body with a white finish fits well in both modern outdoor settings and more understated facades. The internal drainage system prevents water from accumulating inside the fixture, which is especially useful in areas exposed to sun and rain.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in indoor and outdoor luminaires. Their products combine technical functionality with a clean design, built to last.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the wall surface is clean, dry, and firm enough to support the weight. Since this is an outdoor lamp, make sure the wiring is protected against moisture. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is advisable to hire an electrician. The lamp allows vertical or horizontal mounting and can be oriented to illuminate upward or downward depending on the needs of the space.

For maintenance, clean the aluminum body with a damp and dry cloth. Avoid abrasive or harsh chemical products that may damage the white finish. Periodically check that there is no dirt buildup in the ventilation areas. Do not handle the lamp while it is connected to the power supply.

Design and use

The KOV wall light has a compact and technical design that makes it suitable for multiple outdoor situations. With its 212 mm height and a body only 87 mm deep, it takes up little space on the wall and does not visually interfere with the surrounding architecture. The light source is recessed inside the body, which means the light is emitted in a directed manner without directly exposing the source to anyone looking toward it.

The body is made of aluminum with a white finish. Aluminum is a corrosion-resistant and lightweight material, making it particularly suitable for outdoor use where temperature changes and sun exposure are constant. White is a neutral color that integrates well into light-colored facades, stone walls, or cool-toned cladding, without drawing too much attention to the fixture itself.

One of the most useful features of this lamp is the ability to choose the emission angle. It can be set at 23 degrees upward or downward, allowing the direction of the light to be adapted depending on what needs to be illuminated: the wall itself, a decorative element, the ground in front of the entrance, or a specific area of the garden. This flexibility makes it a versatile wall light for different needs within the same project.

The color temperature is 3000K, a warm light that creates a pleasant atmosphere in outdoor nighttime settings. It is a light that is neither cold nor clinical, but rather adds warmth to the space without being overly yellow. It works well on terraces where a welcoming ambiance is desired as night falls, and also at entrances where visibility is needed without sacrificing visual comfort.

The integrated drainage system is a technical detail that makes a difference in climates with frequent rain. Water does not accumulate inside the fixture body, which extends the product's lifespan and prevents problems caused by moisture. This type of technical solution is common in professional luminaires, and its inclusion in a wall-mounted fixture for domestic use reflects FARO's technical approach to its products.

The wall light can be oriented both vertically and horizontally on the wall, which broadens its installation possibilities. On a garden wall, mounted horizontally, it can create a line of light that follows the shape of the wall. In a vertical position on a house facade, it acts as a signaling or welcoming fixture. It also works well in interior courtyards or covered corridors where a robust, low-maintenance lamp is needed.
