The FARO GRANT-C wall light is a wall lamp designed for outdoor use. It works well in gardens, terraces, house entrances and facades where discreet and stable lighting is needed. Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the power is switched off at the distribution board. The fixture is mounted directly on the wall using the included anchors. As a surface-mounted lamp with only 25 mm of depth, it does not require a recessed box. Check that the wall is dry and that the bracket is properly leveled before securing it definitively. If you have any doubts about the wiring, it is recommended that the installation be carried out by an electrician.

To clean the surface of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the ABS body or the polycarbonate diffuser. Although the IP65 rating protects against rain, do not submerge the lamp in water or expose it to direct pressure jets. Periodically check that the fixing points remain secure, especially after periods of cold weather or strong winds.

Design and use

The GRANT-C wall light has a very flat profile, with only 25 mm of depth. This makes it suitable for installations on walls with little space or where it is not desirable for the lamp to protrude too much. On a terrace, for example, it can be placed at eye level without obstructing passage or interfering with other decorative elements.

The body is made of ABS, a material that combines lightness and mechanical resistance. It does not deform easily with temperature changes, which is relevant for an outdoor installation. The dark gray color of the body is discreet and fits well with facades in neutral tones, both in modern homes and in more sober constructions.

The diffuser is made of transparent polycarbonate. It allows the light source to be seen directly, giving a clean and tidy appearance. Light passes through without excessive filtering, so the area it illuminates is well defined. For a marker lamp, that is exactly what is sought: marking a space or a path without creating areas of diffuse light or halos.

The 3000K color temperature produces warm light, which outdoors is perceived in a natural way. It does not have the cold, harsh effect of 6000K LEDs, and works well in gardens with vegetation, at house entrances or in areas with nighttime foot traffic. The CRI above 80 means that the colors of the surroundings appear more faithfully under that light, something that is especially noticeable in plants, wood or stone.

The GRANT-C wall light has IP65, indicating total protection against dust and resistance to water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for installations where rain is frequent or where splashing may occur. A garden, a terrace or the covered entrance of a home are environments where this protection is sufficient.

Although it does not incorporate a motion sensor, the wall light can be connected to external detectors if automated switching is desired. In garden paths or access areas, combining it with a detector allows energy savings without losing functionality. The 1W LED light source consumes very little, so even leaving it on for several hours a day, the impact on the electricity bill is minimal.

Its compact size, 125 x 125 mm, makes it especially practical in installations where several units are needed in a row, such as along a long wall or along a path. The wall light does not visually dominate, but rather accompanies the space. During the day it is barely noticeable; at night it performs its function precisely.

Questions and answers

Is the GRANT-C wall light compatible with an external motion detector?

The lamp does not include a motion sensor, but it can be connected to an external detector installed in the circuit. This way it is possible to automate switching without modifying the lamp.

What level of protection does it offer against rain and dust?

The fixture has IP65 certification, which means it is completely protected against dust and resistant to direct water jets. It is suitable for installations in gardens, terraces and other spaces exposed to the outdoors.

Is the LED driver included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The driver comes included with the lamp. No additional components need to be purchased for the installation and operation of the wall light.
