Overview

DUNE is an outdoor wall light designed for functional lighting on facades, entrances, and passageways. It mounts directly on the wall and provides clean, directed light that marks the space without generating glare or harsh contrasts. It is a lamp designed for those who want to solve outdoor lighting in a simple and long-lasting way.

What sets this wall light apart is the integrated switch that allows you to choose between four color temperatures: 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, or 4000K. This means you can adapt the light to the atmosphere you want to create, whether it's a warm tone by the entrance or a more neutral light on the terrace wall.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in luminaires for residential and commercial spaces. Their products combine functionality and design without adding unnecessary complexity to the purchasing or installation process.

Installation and specifications

For installation, always disconnect the power before starting. This wall light is fixed to the wall using the included anchor points. Check that the surface is solid and can hold the wall light without movement. If the support is concrete or brick, use appropriate anchors for that material. Follow the wiring indicated in the diagram included with the product and do not exceed the specified maximum power.

For maintenance, clean the surface of the wall light with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the aluminum finish or the PC diffuser. Do not operate the internal switch with the lamp connected to the electrical network.

Design and use

The DUNE wall light by FARO has a square format of 100 x 100 mm and only 35 mm in depth. This slim profile makes it discreet on any outdoor wall: it doesn't protrude, doesn't distract, and doesn't interfere with other elements in the surroundings. The body is aluminum in a dark gray finish, a material that withstands temperature variations and the typical exposure of an outdoor space well.

The diffuser is made of transparent PC. It allows light to pass through directly, which reinforces its function as a signage lamp: it illuminates exactly the right spot without dispersing light into areas where it isn't needed. It is a solution designed for entrances, door numbers, garage access points, or any passageway where light needs to be precise and stable.

The light source is an SMD LED, already included in the wall light. No additional components need to be purchased. Once the wall light is installed on the wall and connected to the network, it is ready to use. This considerably simplifies the process, especially for those who carry out the installation themselves.

The most notable feature of this outdoor wall light is the integrated switch for selecting the color temperature. Four options are available: 2200K for a very warm and ambient light, 2700K for a standard warm tone similar to that of a traditional bulb, 3000K for a more uniform warm white light, and 4000K for a cool and functional light. This versatility is especially useful when the wall light is installed in an area where the light tone influences the perception of the space, such as a stone facade, a painted wall, or a terrace with vegetation.

At a main entrance, a lamp with 2700K light creates a welcoming feel without being excessively intense. On a garage access wall or on the side of a garden, the 4000K option offers better visibility. The ability to choose without needing to replace the wall light or the bulb is a real advantage when adjusting the final result.

The DUNE wall light works well in aligned installations, when several units are placed along a wall or on the sides of a door. Its square format facilitates that symmetrical distribution that gives visual order to the exterior. It also combines well in environments where gray aluminum is already present as a material, such as window frames, fences, or terrace profiles.

For those renovating the exterior of their home or simply updating the light points on the facade, this wall light covers the main need: a solid wall lamp, compact in size, with an integrated LED and the option to adjust the color temperature according to the desired result.

Questions and answers

Is the switch for changing the color temperature accessible once the wall light is installed on the wall?

The switch is integrated into the body of the wall light. To change the color temperature, it is necessary to access the inside of the unit. It is recommended to make this selection before the final installation or at a time when you can briefly remove the wall light with the power disconnected.

Does the transparent PC diffuser affect the durability of the wall light for outdoor use?

Polycarbonate is an impact-resistant material suitable for outdoor use. It withstands temperature variations and typical exposure to the elements well. No additional treatment is required to maintain its properties.

Is this wall light compatible with installation on irregular surfaces such as stone or exposed brick?

The wall light is fixed to the wall using anchors. On irregular surfaces such as stone or exposed brick, it is important to ensure that the fixing points are on a solid and level area so that the wall light sits properly and without gaps.
