Overview

This outdoor wall light from the brand FARO is designed to illuminate facades, entrances, terraces and any outdoor area where functional and long-lasting lighting is needed. It mounts directly on the wall and provides directed lighting that covers the space well without taking up too much room. It is a suitable option for both single-family homes and residential communities looking to upgrade the lighting in access areas or outdoor corridors.

The body is made of aluminium with a dark grey finish, giving it a sober appearance that fits effortlessly into contemporary settings. The opal diffuser distributes light evenly, without excessive bright spots. The lamp does not include a bulb, but accepts an E27 LED fitting, which is easy to find in any hardware store or lighting shop.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a long history in the lighting sector. Its products combine careful design with materials built to last, making it a regular reference for those seeking quality luminaires for the home.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light correctly, it is advisable to have an electrician or someone with basic electrical installation experience. The wall light is fixed to the wall using the anchors corresponding to the rear bracket. Before starting the installation, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. Check that the wall junction box is correctly positioned and that the cables are long enough. Once the body is fixed, connect the cables following the colour coding and attach the diffuser. The accepted voltage is 100V to 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical network in Spain and most countries.

For maintenance of the wall light, clean the aluminium body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish. The PC diffuser can be cleaned in the same way, without applying excessive pressure. Periodically check the condition of the anchors to ensure the fixture remains firmly attached to the wall. Do not exceed the indicated maximum power of 15 W when choosing a replacement bulb.

Design and use

The FARO outdoor wall light is designed to blend into facades without drawing too much attention, doing its job discreetly. The dark grey aluminium body holds up well against the conditions typical of outdoor use: temperature changes, humidity and direct sun exposure over long periods. It is not a material that deforms or rusts easily, which translates into a wall light that maintains its appearance over time.

The PC diffuser with opal finish serves a specific purpose: to soften the light emitted by the bulb so it is not uncomfortable to look at. On a terrace or in a garden, this makes the difference between a pleasant light source and one that dazzles every time you walk past. The luminaire projects light downwards and to the sides, covering the area near the wall evenly.

Mounted on the main facade, the wall light provides visibility to the entrance of the home without the need to install an additional spotlight with a motion sensor. If an installation with a presence detector is preferred, this model is compatible with external motion sensors connected in the circuit, although the wall light itself does not have a built-in sensor. For those looking for extra convenience, combining this lamp with an independent motion sensor is a simple solution.

On covered terraces or porches, the wall light works well as the main area light or as a complement to other luminaires. Its compact size — 250 mm long and 120 mm high — allows it to be installed even in tighter spaces where a bulky lantern would not fit. It is also an option to consider for lighting the side of a house next to the garden or the wall that marks the boundary of the plot.

The contemporary style of the wall light makes it compatible with exteriors of clean lines: exposed brick houses, facades rendered in neutral tones or entrances with large-format paving. It also fits well in buildings with a more sober or industrial aesthetic, thanks to the dark grey metallic finish. The absence of unnecessary ornamentation makes it versatile for different contexts, without looking out of place.

The recommended light source is E27 LED, which allows the tone of the light — warm or cool — to be adjusted according to personal preference. A low-energy bulb with a power close to 15 W provides sufficient illumination for this type of outdoor wall light.
