Installation and specifications

For installation, the wall light must be fixed directly to the wall using anchors appropriate for the type of surface. Since the body is made of cement and the net weight exceeds one kilogram, it is advisable to use plugs and screws suitable for brick, concrete or stone surfaces. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The wall light accepts voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid. The bulb is not included: an E27 socket, LED type, with a maximum power of 15 W is required.

The cement body does not require special products for maintenance. Simply clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth when necessary. Avoid using abrasive products or solvents that could alter the finish. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected. Periodically check that the anchors remain in good condition, especially in areas with frequent rain or wind.

Design and use

The BLOCK wall light is part of an outdoor lighting collection that places cement at its core. It is not a decorative material applied over another support: the entire body is made of cement, giving it a weight and presence that are felt from the very first moment. The oval shape softens what might otherwise seem too austere and allows the lamp to integrate easily into different types of façade.

The diffuser is made of opal glass. This type of finish disperses light softly, without creating glare spots. The light beam is concentrated at the centre of the luminaire, making it a good option for decorative lighting: it does not aim to flood a large space with light, but rather to create a point of light with its own visual presence. In a garden, this effect can be used to mark a path, highlight an entrance or accompany an outdoor seating area.

On a terrace, the wall light works well mounted on the side wall or on the back wall. Its compact size — 147 mm high by 147 mm long — allows it to be installed in small spaces without appearing disproportionate. If the terrace has a natural stone or exposed mortar finish, the cement body engages directly with that texture. On more modern terraces, with smooth flooring or clean-lined furniture, the wall light acts as a contrasting element that adds character without disrupting the overall composition.

Resistance to the marine environment is another relevant point. Areas close to the sea subject materials to a combination of humidity, salt and wind that rapidly deteriorates many surfaces. The cement of this lamp is designed to withstand those conditions without losing its appearance. This makes it particularly suitable for homes on the seafront, harbour areas or any garden in a humid and saline environment.

The BLOCK collection is designed as a series, so it is possible to combine several units on the same façade or distribute them across different points in the garden while maintaining visual coherence. Two wall lights at the same height on either side of an entrance door create balanced lighting and a clean symmetrical effect. They also work well in asymmetric arrangements, when the aim is to draw the eye towards a specific element of the garden without using a direct spotlight.

The light source is E27 LED, a standard socket that is easy to find. The maximum accepted power is 15 W, sufficient for the type of decorative lighting this wall light proposes. Being LED, energy consumption is low and the bulb's lifespan is long, reducing the need for frequent replacements at an outdoor wall point.

A motion sensor is not part of this wall light, nor is any presence detection system. Switching on and off is managed from the electrical circuit to which it is connected. If a sensor or timer system is desired, it must be installed in the circuit, not in the lamp. This provides the freedom to integrate it into home automation systems or outdoor lighting management systems without depending on the limitations of the wall light itself. Movement around the luminaire does not affect its operation.
