Overview

This outdoor wall light by FARO is designed for those who want to illuminate the exterior of their home effectively without any hassle. It works on terraces, gardens, entrances, porches, and walkways. Its contemporary design fits both modern facades and more neutral spaces.

The lamp emits warm light upward and downward simultaneously, creating a balanced distribution without dark spots. The body is made of die-cast aluminum with a matte white finish, and the diffuser is made of opal glass. This means the light comes out soft, without glare, even when the lamp is at eye level.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products combine careful design with materials built to last under real outdoor conditions.

Installation and specifications

Preparation and installation. This wall light is fixed directly to the wall using the anchor points on the body. Before mounting the lamp, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The connection requires a standard power cable from the domestic network at 220V-240V. If you have no experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that an electrician carry out the work. Check that the wall where you are going to fix the wall light is solid and suitable for the type of anchor you intend to use.

Use and care. The matte white aluminum surface can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The glass diffuser can be gently cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not expose the electrical connector to moisture during cleaning. Always disconnect the power before handling the luminaire.

Design and use

The FARO wall light combines solid materials with a very compact profile. With only 22 mm of depth, it barely protrudes from the wall, making it especially useful in narrow outdoor corridors or on facades where lateral space is limited. It weighs 0,4 kg, so it does not require reinforced anchors or additional masonry work.

The die-cast aluminum body withstands outdoor conditions well. It is a material that does not rust easily and maintains the matte white finish over time. The choice of aluminum is not only aesthetic but also functional: it is lightweight, durable, and stable in the face of temperature changes.

The opal glass diffuser is what defines the quality of the light projected by this lamp. Unlike plastic diffusers, glass does not yellow over time or lose transparency. The light it emits is uniform and soft, without bright spots or harsh shadows. The temperature of 3000K corresponds to a warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb, which is inviting without being excessively dim.

The light beam is distributed in two directions, upward and downward, creating an interesting visual effect on the wall and improving the perception of space outdoors. In a garden or on a terrace, this not only serves to illuminate the ground, but also to visually mark the presence of the space. In entrances and access areas, it helps to identify doors and steps clearly.

The integrated SMD LED light source consumes a total of 6W and is included in the package. You do not need to purchase anything additional to put the wall light into operation. The driver is also included, which simplifies installation and avoids the need to search for compatible components.

This outdoor wall light fits well in compositions with several luminaires distributed along a facade or a perimeter wall. It also works on its own as a focal point at an entrance or next to a garden gate. Its clean design does not compete with other decorative elements outdoors, but rather complements them.

If you are looking to create a calm atmosphere on the terrace in the evenings, this type of warm, diffused light is a good choice. It does not produce the cold, clinical effect of higher color temperatures, and the opal glass softens any potential harshness of the LED. The result is lighting that accompanies without disturbing.

For those renovating a facade or setting up outdoor areas such as a patio or garden, this wall light offers a straightforward solution. It is wall-mounted, takes up little space, and does not require frequent maintenance.
