Overview

This outdoor wall light by FARO is designed for those who want to illuminate a home entrance, a terrace, or any open-air area with a clean and lasting result. The lamp mounts directly on the wall without elements that protrude too much, and fits well on both modern facades and more neutral finishes.

The body is made of aluminum in a dark gray tone, and the diffuser is made of transparent tempered glass. That combination allows the wall light to withstand outdoor conditions well and maintain a neat appearance over time. The design is the work of Estudi Ribaudí, a studio with experience in practical-use luminaires and contemporary aesthetics.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Their products are manufactured with real-world use in mind, not just for display, and this lamp is a good example of that.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, it is recommended to have a standard flush-mount box or to prepare direct anchoring on the wall according to the manufacturer's instructions. The fixing must be done on a solid, level surface capable of supporting the weight of the assembly. Before starting installation, it is essential to cut power at the electrical panel. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is safest to have it done by a professional. The lamp does not include a bulb, so you will need to purchase separately an LED bulb with a GU10 socket compatible with the indicated wattage.

The aluminum body does not require special maintenance, but it is advisable to clean it occasionally with a soft, damp cloth to remove accumulated dust or dirt. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with water and a little ammonia-free glass cleaner. Periodically check that the anchors remain secure, especially after strong wind gusts or prolonged rain.

Design and use

The wall light is built with an aluminum body in dark gray that gives it a solid presence without looking visually heavy. Aluminum is a material that withstands exposure to sun, rain, and temperature changes well, making it suitable for outdoor use without the finish deteriorating quickly.

The tempered glass diffuser allows light to pass through directly, without filters that distort it. That means the illuminated area receives clear and uniform light, useful both for navigating an entrance and for creating a defined atmosphere on a terrace. The lamp does not create dark areas at the edges or concentrate the beam at a single point, which makes the result both pleasant and functional at the same time.

The dimensions of the wall light are compact: 270 mm high, 140 mm long, and 100 mm deep. This allows it to be installed on walls with limited available space or in areas where it is not desirable for the lamp to protrude too much. It is an option that works well on single-family home facades, garden walls, covered entrances, or any outdoor space where fixed lighting is needed without complicating the visual reading of the whole.

The design is the work of Estudi Ribaudí, a studio that works with clean lines and proportions designed so that the wall light does not compete with its surroundings but integrates into them. The contemporary profile pairs with concrete finishes, exposed brick, wood, or facade cladding in neutral tones. It also combines well with other outdoor lighting elements if you want to create a path of light along a patio or entrance.

Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V means this lamp can be used in different contexts without the need for adapters. The GU10 socket is one of the most common on the market, so finding a suitable LED bulb is no problem. With a maximum power of 8 W, consumption is low and the illumination sufficient for typical outdoor use.

Although the wall light does not include a motion sensor or presence detector, its fixed position on the wall and its compact size allow it to be combined easily with an external sensor system installed separately, if you want to add that functionality. Likewise, if the electrical installation already has a timer or a solar control system, this lamp is perfectly compatible with that type of configuration.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light include the GU10 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. You need to purchase separately a bulb with a GU10 socket and a maximum power of 8 W. As it is a very common socket, you will find it without difficulty at any lighting store or hardware store.

Does the tempered glass diffuser withstand direct exposure to sun and rain well?

Yes. Tempered glass is designed to withstand temperature variations and exposure to the elements typical of outdoor environments, including direct sun and rain. It is one of the reasons it is commonly used in outdoor luminaires.

Can the wall light be installed on any type of exterior wall, including garden walls?

The mounting is on the wall, and it works on solid surfaces such as brick, concrete, or block walls. The important thing is that the wall has sufficient consistency to hold the anchor and that the electrical box is well positioned. If in doubt, consult an installer before mounting.
