Overview

The FARO wall light is designed for outdoor use, where lighting needs to withstand environmental conditions without losing functionality or appearance. It is installed directly on the wall — on facades, next to entrance doors, in terrace areas or covered access points. Thanks to its adjustable fins, it allows you to direct the light beam as needed: downward to illuminate the ground, upward to highlight an architectural element, or diagonally to cover a wider area.

The lamp uses integrated SMD LED technology, with a color temperature of 3000K that produces warm light, similar to candlelight but more uniform. This type of light is comfortable for residential outdoor spaces because it does not strain the eyes and does not generate the cold white that can feel harsh at an entrance or in a private garden.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in the lighting sector for indoor and outdoor spaces. Its products combine functional design with durable finishes, designed for installations that are not changed frequently and that must maintain their appearance over time.

Installation and specifications

For installation, a wall power outlet rated for 220V–240V is required. Before starting the assembly, it is recommended to cut the power supply at the main panel. The wall light is fixed directly onto the wall surface using the appropriate anchors. If the wall is made of brick or concrete, plugs suitable for the material type will be needed. It is advisable for the installation to be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially outdoors where the connection must be properly sealed against moisture.

To keep the wall light in good condition, simply clean the aluminum body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the dark grey finish should not be used. The diffuser glass can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove accumulated dust. It is recommended to periodically check that the connections are in good condition, especially after rainy seasons or periods of intense cold.

Design and use

The body of this wall light is made from die-cast aluminium, a material that offers good mechanical resistance and does not rust over time. That detail matters when the lamp is going to be exposed to the elements — sun in summer, cold in winter, and occasionally rain or ambient humidity. The dark grey finish gives a restrained and neutral appearance that fits well on both modern facades and stone or exposed brick walls.

The transparent glass diffuser lets light through without filtering it excessively, allowing the fixture to illuminate the chosen area directly and precisely. It does not scatter light in all directions, but works together with the adjustable fins to concentrate the beam where it is most needed. This makes it a useful wall light for both functional lighting — illuminating an entrance, an outdoor staircase or the side of a facade — and for creating a more visual effect, highlighting wall textures or decorative elements in the garden or terrace.

The fins are the element that most sets this lamp apart from other standard surface-mounted luminaires. They can be adjusted manually to change the direction of the light beam without needing to move the installation point. This provides a certain degree of flexibility after installation: if the terrace furniture is rearranged, a plant is added to a corner, or you simply want to try a different angle, all you need to do is reorient the fins.

The SMD LED light source is included in the wall light, so there is no need to search for compatible bulbs separately. The 3000K temperature produces that warm tone that is pleasant in residential outdoor spaces, especially in gardens or rest areas where cold light could create a less welcoming atmosphere. The 2x3W consumption is modest, which makes a noticeable difference on the electricity bill in the long term without any loss of lighting quality.

The wall light weighs 0.75 kg, a moderate figure that makes installation straightforward without requiring additional support structures. The compact dimensions — 140 mm in height, 145 mm in length and 140 mm in depth — mean it adapts well to walls with limited space, without being bulky or drawing too much attention during the day.

It is a wall light that works well at the entrances of single-family homes, on the sides of a garage door, on the walls of an inner courtyard or in any outdoor transit area that needs constant light during night-time hours. It can also be combined with an external motion sensor if a more automated solution is desired, although that accessory is not included.

Questions and answers

Can the adjustable fins on the wall light be repositioned after installation without removing the lamp?

Yes, the fins can be repositioned manually once the lamp is installed on the wall. It is not necessary to remove it to change the direction of the light beam.

Is the SMD LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The light source is included in the wall light. No additional bulb needs to be purchased to put the lamp into operation.

Does the die-cast aluminium body require any special treatment to hold up well outdoors in rain or direct sunlight?

No additional treatment is required. Die-cast aluminium is a material that withstands outdoor conditions well, including exposure to sun and moisture. To keep the finish in good condition, periodic cleaning with a soft cloth is sufficient.
