Overview

The FARO exterior wall light is designed for those looking for functional, well-finished lighting at the entrance to their home, garden, or any outdoor area that requires it. This lamp is mounted directly on the wall and provides warm, uniform light that works well at the entrance to a house after dark.

The timeless design of the wall light means it fits without conflict on facades of different styles. It does not impose a specific style — it simply integrates. The dark grey finish on the aluminium body gives it a discreet but defined presence. The transparent glass diffuser lets light through without filtering it excessively, resulting in direct, clear illumination.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in the lighting industry. Its catalogue includes solutions for both indoor and outdoor use, with particular attention to material quality and product durability.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light correctly, it is important to fix the bracket to a solid, level wall surface. Since the total weight exceeds two kilograms, it is advisable to use appropriate plugs and screws for the type of wall — brick, concrete, or block. The wiring must be protected and run through the interior or flush against the wall. If you do not have experience with outdoor electrical installations, the most prudent option is to hire an electrician.

The aluminium body does not require intensive maintenance, but it is advisable to clean the wall light periodically with a slightly damp cloth to prevent the build-up of dust or dirt. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents. Before any cleaning, make sure the lamp is switched off and cool.

Design and use

This outdoor wall lamp is built with an aluminium body and a transparent glass diffuser. The combination of these materials is no coincidence: aluminium holds up well in outdoor conditions and does not deteriorate easily, while the glass provides a clean presence and allows the LED light to project without interference.

The wall light measures 380 mm in height, 120 mm in length, and 170 mm in depth. These are balanced dimensions that make it visible without dominating the facade. The dark grey finish gives it a solid, restrained appearance, suitable for facades in neutral tones, stone, exposed concrete, or brick. It is not a striking lamp, but it is noticeable — and that is exactly what many home entrances need.

The 13 W SMD LED light source is already included, with a colour temperature of 3000K. That temperature corresponds to a warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb, which creates a welcoming atmosphere without feeling cold or clinical. It is the type of light that works well at an entrance at night, on a garden path, or in an outdoor passageway.

The wall light operates on voltages between 100V and 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical installation of any home in Spain and in most European countries.

Beyond the main entrance, this type of wall light can be installed in covered outdoor corridors, on roofed terraces, or in garden areas close to the home. If you have a side wall facing a passageway or garden area, this model meets that need well without requiring a complex installation. It also works at garage entrances or on boundary walls where some light is needed without installing a floor lantern.

The timeless aesthetic of the design allows it to be combined with other decorative exterior elements without visual conflict. If the facade already has wrought iron elements, or if the garden has a more classic style, this wall light does not look out of place. Equally, it fits in outdoor settings with more modern or minimalist lines, where dark grey and glass are common design choices.

For those renovating the entrance to their home or simply updating their outdoor lighting, this FARO wall light is an option that requires no major decisions or risks. It mounts on the wall, provides good light, and has a well-finished appearance. Nothing more than that, but nothing less either.

Questions and answers

Is the included 13 W LED lamp sufficient to properly illuminate a house entrance?

With 13 W and a colour temperature of 3000K, the lamp provides warm, functional light suitable for entrances, access points, and outdoor passageways. It is not designed to illuminate large spaces in their entirety, but it perfectly covers the area close to the installation point.

Does the transparent glass diffuser adequately protect the light source from rain or dirt?

The diffuser forms part of the closed assembly of the wall light, which helps to protect the interior. For any questions about the specific degree of protection against particular weather conditions, we recommend consulting the official technical data sheet from the manufacturer FARO.

Can the aluminium body with a dark grey finish lose colour over time?

Aluminium is a durable material for outdoor use. The dark grey finish is applied to maintain its appearance over time, although periodic cleaning with a damp cloth helps to keep it in good condition.
