Overview

ESTELA is an outdoor wall light from the FARO brand, designed for those looking for a functional lamp with its own character. Its oxide brown finish gives it a solid, industrial-style appearance that fits well on both rustic-style facades and more contemporary spaces.

This wall light mounts directly on the wall and directs light where it is needed. It is a suitable option for entryways, covered terraces, or any outdoor area where targeted, organized lighting is desired. The GU10 LED spotlight ensures efficient performance with low energy consumption.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Their luminaires combine technical criteria with attention to design, and are present in residential and commercial projects around the world.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the power supply is switched off at the electrical panel. The fixture is mounted directly on the wall using the included fixing points. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially outdoors, where conditions may vary. Check that the support is secure and that the wiring is properly protected before fixing the lamp.

To clean the surface of the wall light, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the oxide brown finish. Do not handle the light source while the unit is connected to the mains. Periodically check the condition of the diffuser glass to make sure it has no cracks or accumulated dirt that could affect light performance.

Design and use

The ESTELA wall light has an aluminium body with an oxide brown finish, a tone that recalls naturally aged metal. This colour choice is not purely aesthetic: aluminium is a resistant, lightweight, and temperature-stable material, which is appreciated in outdoor installations.

The diffuser is made of transparent glass, allowing light to emerge clearly without losing intensity. The GU10 LED spotlight projects a concentrated beam, ideal for illuminating specific areas of the wall or the nearby ground. No bulb is included, so when purchasing this wall light you will need to add a GU10 LED of up to 5 W.

Its compact dimensions — 105 mm high and 80 mm deep — allow it to integrate without taking up too much visual space. On a stone or brick wall, the oxide brown blends naturally with the surroundings. On more neutral surfaces, such as grey or white render, it acts as a point of contrast that adds warmth to the overall look.

This wall light works well at the entrances of single-family homes, where the lamp welcomes those arriving without the need to install a large fixture. It is also a good option for gardens with paved areas, where the goal is to mark a path or illuminate a specific corner. On a terrace, placed at the right height, it can complement other luminaires or work independently.

The industrial style of the wall light makes it compatible with elements such as iron railings, terracotta planters, dark wood, or natural stone. It does not require a strictly rustic setting to look good: in a modern courtyard with a concrete floor and neat vegetation, the oxide brown adds a warm counterpoint that breaks the coldness of grey.

If several wall lights are installed at the same height along a wall, they create a clear visual line that organises the outdoor space at night. They can also be combined with an external motion sensor to automate switching, although the wall light itself does not incorporate a detector. In that case, the switching management depends on the electrical system it is connected to.

The reduced weight — less than half a kilogram — makes installation easier even on surfaces that cannot support heavy anchors. This is a wall light that requires no major preparation or special tools: a firm base, ready wiring, and a fitted spotlight.

Questions and answers

Does the ESTELA wall light include the GU10 LED bulb?

No, the light source is not included. It is necessary to purchase separately a compatible GU10 LED bulb with a maximum power of 5 W.

Can the aluminium body with oxide brown finish deteriorate from rain or direct sunlight?

Aluminium is a corrosion-resistant material. The oxide brown finish is designed for outdoor use, so it withstands exposure to sunlight and normal humidity. However, it is recommended to periodically check the condition of the lamp to detect any premature wear.

Is the wall light compatible with an external motion detector?

Yes, as it operates at standard voltage between 100 V and 240 V, it can be connected to an electrical system that includes a motion sensor or external detector. The wall light itself does not incorporate any detection mechanism, but it supports integration through the circuit.
