Installation and specifications

Before installing this recessed wall light on the exterior wall, it is advisable to prepare a recessed box of the appropriate size according to the product's dimensions. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it involves connection to the mains at 220V-240V. Make sure to cut the power before starting work. The wall where it is to be placed must be dry and free of internal moisture so that the fixing is firm and durable.

For maintenance, simply clean the surface of the light with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the satin nickel finish. There is no need to frequently check the light source, as it is integrated. The IP65 protection rating ensures that rain and dust do not affect its operation, but this does not mean it should be submerged in water.

Design and use

This FARO outdoor wall light is made of stainless steel 304, a material that resists oxidation well even in humid environments or with frequent rain. The satin nickel finish gives it a clean and uniform appearance, without excessive shine, which fits with modern facades as well as stone or brick walls without looking out of place.

The diffuser is made of opal polycarbonate, which distributes the light softly and prevents direct glare. When the light is on, the light it emits is warm, at 3000K, similar to an indoor ambient light. That colour temperature makes the garden or terrace feel more welcoming during the night, without the coldness given by white light.

Being recessed in the wall, the spotlight integrates into the wall without protruding. This is useful when a visually clean installation is desired, with no boxes or frames in sight. In a garden, for example, it can be placed along a path to mark the route without installing posts or lampposts. On a facade, it can signal the entrance or mark the outline of a porch.

It also works well on retaining walls, outdoor steps or any vertical surface where a nocturnal light reference is desired. A motion sensor is not included in this model, but the light can be connected alongside other devices in the installation if that type of automation is desired. Likewise, although the name might suggest it, it is not a solar luminaire: it operates connected to the domestic electricity supply.

The body has compact dimensions of 105 x 65 x 50 mm, meaning it takes up very little space both on the wall and in the recessed box. Its weight is 0,24 kg, so it does not require any special anchoring beyond what is standard for this type of installation.

The illumination it produces is for signaling, not projection. It is not intended to light an entire patio or to replace a higher-power lamp. Its function is to orient, delimit and create a visual atmosphere at the edges of an outdoor space. When several lights are placed in series along a wall, the result is a continuous line of light that defines the path or perimeter in an elegant way.

The IP65 rating guarantees protection against dust and against water projected from any direction. This allows it to be installed outdoors without worrying about rain or morning dew. It is not suitable for areas where water can accumulate directly on the luminaire on a constant basis, but for use on a facade or exterior wall it is more than sufficient.

Yes, it can be installed on any exterior wall as long as the recessed box can be properly prepared. On stone or brick walls, more masonry work may be required, but the light itself does not impose any restrictions on the type of wall material.

IP65 indicates that the light is completely protected against dust and against water projected from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor use exposed to rain without water affecting its operation or internal components.

Can the integrated SMD LED light source be replaced if it stops working?
