Overview

This outdoor recessed light from the brand FARO is designed to mark accesses, paths, stairs, or any outdoor area of a home where discreet but functional lighting is needed. It is installed directly into the wall and sits flush with the surface, without protruding or taking up space. The result is clean illumination that guides without glaring.

The polycarbonate body and glass diffuser make this fixture resistant to the conditions typical of outdoor use. The integrated LED light emits a warm tone of 2700K, similar to traditional incandescent light, creating a pleasant atmosphere in the garden, entrance, or façade without being harsh on the eyes.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in lighting, both for indoor and outdoor use. Their products combine functionality and durable materials, designed for those seeking reliable solutions without complicated installation or frequent maintenance.

Installation and specifications

To install this recessed wall light, you must first have the corresponding recessed box, available under references 70274, 70275, and 70276. Before starting the installation, make sure the area in the wall has the appropriate dimensions to accommodate the box. Always work with the electricity switched off. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is highly recommended to use a qualified electrician.

To keep the fixture in good condition, clean the glass diffuser with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the surface. Periodically check the condition of the polycarbonate body and joints to ensure there are no cracks or accumulated dirt that could affect performance.

Design and use

The outdoor recessed spotlight from FARO is a solution designed for those who want to illuminate an outdoor area without making the light fixture the focal point. By being installed flush with the wall, the fixture goes almost unnoticed during the day and fulfills its marking function when night falls. It is a particularly useful option for accesses, outdoor steps, paths alongside a wall, or any space where light needs to be present without interfering with the aesthetics of the surroundings.

The fixture body is made of matte white polycarbonate, a material that combines lightness and durability. Weighing just 0,06 kg net, it places no structural load on the wall. Despite its small size, 80 x 80 x 36 mm, it offers a neat and discreet presence. The transparent glass diffuser allows the LED light to project directly and evenly, without shadow zones or hot spots.

The integrated SMD LED light source operates at 220-240V and consumes only 2W. The color temperature of 2700K produces a warm tone that complements both stone or brick façades and modern concrete or stucco finishes. This warmth also makes it suitable for terraces or patios, where ambient lighting needs to be welcoming and not interfere with the darkness of the natural surroundings.

The matte white body color fits easily on light-colored façades, plastered walls, or painted surfaces. For spaces with darker finishes, there is also a black version, which integrates better into outdoor settings with a more contemporary or industrial aesthetic. In both cases, the fixture retains exactly the same technical characteristics.

This type of recessed wall light works well in combination with other outdoor lighting elements. It can complement a larger wall fixture at the main entrance, or accompany a floor lantern along a garden path. It can also be used in series along a wall to create a uniform marking line that guides toward a specific area without the need to install higher-power luminaires.

Thanks to its compact design, this recessed spotlight does not interrupt the visual continuity of the wall. Once installed, all that is visible is the glass diffuser at the same level as the wall, with the body completely integrated. This sets it apart from conventional surface-mounted fixtures and makes it a suitable option when discretion and visual order are sought.

For those renovating or building an outdoor space, this recessed fixture is easy to incorporate into the electrical installation planning. It requires the corresponding recessed box, which means planning for the recess during construction or when preparing the wall. Once the box is in place, mounting the fixture is quick and straightforward.
