Overview

The FARO recessed wall lamp is designed for outdoor spaces where lighting needs to withstand rain, dust, and temperature changes. It is installed directly into the wall and emits a warm light that guides without glaring. It is a practical solution for gardens, terraces, driveways, and home entrances.

The wall light works with 8W SMD LED technology and a color temperature of 3000K, producing a warm, pleasant tone for the eyes. It does not create uncomfortable shadow areas or excessive contrast with the surroundings. The body is made of die-cast aluminum in dark gray, a material that holds up well under outdoor conditions without deteriorating over time.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Its catalog covers both exterior and interior, and its products are designed to last under real-world conditions.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, make sure the wall surface is clean and level. The fixture is mounted directly onto the exterior wall, so it is advisable to verify that the installation box or corresponding recess is correctly prepared to accommodate the recessed fitting. The wiring must be well protected before closing the installation. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended to have an electrician handle the final connection.

To keep the lamp in good condition, simply clean the outer surface occasionally with a slightly damp cloth. The transparent PC diffuser may accumulate dust or dirt in areas with nearby vegetation. Avoid the use of abrasive products or solvents. Although the IP65 rating protects against rain, do not submerge the luminaire in water or expose it to direct pressurized jets.

Design and use

The FARO recessed wall light is an outdoor luminaire designed to integrate into the architecture without drawing too much attention. Its compact dimensions — 225 mm long, 75 mm high, and 73 mm deep — allow it to be installed in spaces where a larger lamp would be out of place. The weight of 0.7 kg makes installation easy and does not require reinforced anchoring.

The die-cast aluminum body in dark gray is one of the standout features of the wall light. Aluminum does not rust with ambient humidity and maintains its appearance stably over the seasons. The dark gray tone integrates well with concrete, stone, or exposed brick facades, without the need for complicated combinations. It is a modern finish that fits equally well with contemporary homes and more classic-style constructions.

The included SMD LED light source emits at 3000K, a color temperature that produces warm illumination, close to that of an electric candle but more uniform. This type of light is especially pleasant in nighttime outdoor settings because it does not create a cold or harsh feel. At 8W of power, the lamp illuminates efficiently without excessive energy consumption.

The IP65 protection rating indicates that the recessed fixture is sealed against dust ingress and resists water jets from any angle. This makes it suitable for covered and uncovered terraces, gardens with nearby irrigation systems, home entrances, or exterior staircase access points. The protection does not depend on a special installation — it is built into the construction of the wall light itself.

The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to pass through without distorting it, which improves the perception of the immediate surroundings. In an outdoor corridor or on the steps leading to a home, this makes the difference between lighting that guides well and lighting that is simply there. The wall light does not produce uncomfortable glare and its light distribution is balanced.

This recessed fitting works well in combination with other luminaires of the same type to create a continuous line of marking along a wall, a path, or an exterior staircase. It can also be installed as a single lighting point in smaller entrances. On terraces with a carefully considered atmosphere, the warmth of 3000K complements the other elements to create a pleasant space when night falls. The design of the wall light does not compete with the surroundings — it simply provides what is needed: clarity, safety, and visual continuity.

Questions and answers

Does the recessed fixture include the LED light source, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 8W SMD LED light source is included with the product. It is not necessary to purchase it separately or carry out any additional bulb installation.

Is the IP65 rating sufficient to install this wall light on an uncovered terrace?

Yes. IP65 guarantees full protection against dust and resistance to water jets from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor spaces exposed to direct rain.

What type of surface is compatible with the mounting of this recessed wall light?

The wall light is designed to be installed recessed into a wall. It is compatible with concrete, brick, or other common materials used in facades and exterior walls, provided the installation recess is correctly prepared.
