Installation and specifications

Design and use

The FARO KANE 2 has a very compact format: 45 mm high, 45 mm wide and 90 mm deep. These dimensions make it particularly useful in walls where available space is limited or where you want to prevent the luminaire from drawing too much attention during the day. The weight of 0.17 kg makes it easy to handle during installation.

316L stainless steel is a material designed for demanding environments. It resists corrosion better than other types of steel, making it suitable for areas with high humidity, salt-laden environments or variable climates. The satin finish gives it a sober appearance that does not clash with stone, concrete, treated wood or modern cladding surfaces. The fixture fits well in both contemporary-style facades and garden walls with a more rustic treatment.

The transparent glass diffuser is one of the elements that sets this spotlight apart from other recessed fixtures with an opaline diffuser. By not filtering or dispersing the light, it allows the COB LED beam to reach the wall with greater definition. This effect is interesting when you want to highlight a texture on the wall, mark a path or create a grazing line of light across a surface. Questions and answers

Does the KANE 2 work directly at 220V or does it require an additional component?

The fixture operates at 24VDC, so it cannot be connected directly to the domestic electricity network. An external driver is required to convert the voltage. This driver is not included with the product and must be purchased separately, choosing one that is compatible with the power and number of units in the installation.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 3W, 2700K COB LED light source is included with the recessed fixture. No additional lamp needs to be purchased to start up the spotlight once the electrical installation has been completed.

Is 316L stainless steel suitable for coastal areas or areas with high humidity?

Yes. 316L stainless steel has superior corrosion resistance compared to other types of steel, precisely due to its composition. It is a material commonly used in outdoor applications in environments with salt, high humidity or continuous exposure to the elements.
